Arclight Rumble - Why?

How is a game that hasnt been fully released in all markets failing?

If anything, it has likely exceeding revenue expecations for the markets it did release in

I have given up on these people that can not differentiate between “I don’t like (or let’s be real, xx streamer doesn’t like) blah blah” and the financial success of a game.

mobile games always make the most the first week when people are in a rush.

all all games in general work this way, with all the negative press and being canceled from their biggest mobile market…it’s on it’s way to failure and costing blizzard.

a lot of streamers did also buy BIG to show how bad it was so other wouldn’t buy.

this would further increase short term sales but can be very effective of hurting long term sales.

Money.

lmao.

GD’s fetish for thinking about Blizzard going under will never not be gross and cringy.

Also they basically just sold the rights to put Diablo’s name on some already existing mobile game. This isn’t the huge company-defining investment you think it is.

Or a completely idiotic take.

Yep. Netease built the house, Blizzard just painted it.

After Diablo Immortal I’m never even considering playing a Blizzard mobile game again. Hopefully their horrible mobile monetization schemes don’t leak into their PC games.

It hasnt been offically cancelled in China, only delayed at this point.

It may be cancelled though because Xi is bigmad at ActiBlizz for someone insulting him.

That said, DI still has Korea and while losing China will impact the bottom line… it will still make bank.

DI isn’t even a Blizzard mobile game, but do what you like

People willing to spend lots of money on phone games.

Can’t say Arclight rumble interests me.

That said, had it come out when WoW was at the height of its popularity and tied into WoW with rewards/perks, I might have tried it back then. Today though? I barely have enough hope that an expansion will prove decent to play the game, much less go out of my way to torture myself on a mobile game I’m not dropping a dime on.

all the experts say once you make a Winnie the poo reference your done for a few years.

so lets say it’s delayed for 3 years

it’s still effectively dead in china.

It is probably already profitable. I doubt they even spent $24 million on development. It might not be “Geishin Impact” successful but it will make money.

And outcry in the US isn’t really a big deal. The US is becoming less and less significant in gaming revenue.

It’s still backed by Blizzard and has their stamp of aprroval. If you think any other game announced initially as a mobile game made by them or just has their stamp of approval isn’t going to have a predatory MTX system you’re bonkers.

I don’t really care. P2W games don’t bother me because I play games for fun, not for some sort of competitive self-validation.

In other words, it’s only predatory if you think like prey

Alright have fun bein a f2p player Blizzard doesn’t even want playing the game.

Why would anyone care if Blizzard wanted them to play the game or not?

I’m interested in it and im not even a mobile gamer…I think the asthetics look cute. Gameplay seems fun and quick. And its more Warcraft universe content which ill never say no to.

Ill be playing it.
