Simple…they ignore feedback on PTR
I will say that the “sweet spot” is far too short a window. There is a sweet spot but you basically have to be EXACTLY on point to hit it.
If it takes more than 30mins to learn and do the game its a bad design. Add any lag at all, and it become nearly impossible.
Found another one…tried for nearly 45mins. Within 5second I fail every time
People that say there is no issues with this are white knighting Blizzard and trolling the thread,
This is just garbage game design. Fighting cancer is more “fun” than this crap. How are you supposed to hit the wisps when they are firing half a dozen back to back almost instantly - you can’t. It’s garbage that blizzard developers think is “good enough” Congrats to the “White Knights” but they are lying when they say it is “doable”. Whoever came up with this should straight up lose their jobs.
I managed to get the achievement for this after about an hour. said hour was between 2am and 3am and involved a lot, I repeat a lot, of swearing…
I’ve tried over 4 hours total, can’t get anywhere near done. Toward the end they spawn faster than the CD on the ability, Even with my 23 Lat I can’t go fast enough.
Strangely I know a 15 year old who one shot the 2 hardest pylons and he hasn’t played WoW in years. Sometimes its good to have teens around,
Needs to be removed from the meta. Impossible to complete until fixed.
Cold Light Cavern one is ridiculous, the orbs start coming from all directions at once.
Whatever idiot dev designed these needs to be flogged with a spiked baseball bat - Walking Dead style. I’m not a teenager amped up on Monsters and sitting in Blizzard’s server room, so this is functionally impossible without devoting an entire day to getting the rhythm down perfectly and praying I don’t get any lag spikes at all.
This either needs to come out of the meta or the orbs need to be slowed considerably.
I have 30ms ping and yet I still seem to misfire constantly, or my key strokes don’t go off at all. This trove needs fixed.
lol…thanks for the laugh. At age 74 I too have come to that same conclusion about speedy reflexes.
I gave up on this particular quest after several tries using various methods (some mentioned here) and just chalked it up to my being so senior citizen slow fingers. I’ve discovered sometimes when I win one of these “impossible” puzzles, its purely by chance. Never to be repeated again. So I savor the moment and move on.
29 year old here and have to say the Coldlight Cavern one is impossible with my reaction times at the end it ends up throwing 6 spheres at you at once and the abilities are inconsistent if one button press fires at both orbs on a side or just one if any at all.
Have to chime in and agree, I am able to have a perfect run til the very end and then I cannot even keep up with it due to the gcd. I really hope they tone it down as this should not require us to relive our teenage ddr days. I should mention that aside from the Coldlight Cavern one, I have been able to do all the others EASILY. And I am an old lady XD
Found and tried this today… only have two buttons, left and right. Unwinnable without 3rd button
The first one I tried is in Broken Fin Hollow. I am not sure what to expect. I use the arrow keys and nothing happens, then my health bar is at zero. A few times, the game actually STARTED with my health bar at zero. I can’t understand what the graphics show at all. What is it supposed to look like when you actually hit something?? Are your hits the blue flashes? or the thin red lines? Has ANYONE actually beat the Broken Fin Hollow one??
Blizzard really needs to fix this trove…
First attempt at Broken Fin Hollow a success, yes took some damage at the end because didn’t realize I could attack two pulses with one shot but managed enough to succeed. It’s definitely more like a rhythm game. Though for the first pylon I tried once I figured it out it was more like Undertale’s Undyne fight (and I only watched playthroughs of the game).
