All 5 missiles still cast, but the cast bar shows an incorrect cast time for the channel. It seems like the cast bar is ignoring hasted cast time and using the base cast time of Arcane Missiles.
This also seems to be broken in different zones the cast bar is correct in Stromwind, but broken in Dungeons, Raids, and Northrend Zones.
I’ve tried this with default UI and multiple cast bar addons it’s broken on all of them.
mind flay is having the same issue - Mind Flay GUI does not scale with haste
I was noticing this today as well. I was thinking it was clipping and I was losing ticks, but if its not scaling properly with haste that would make sense. Reviewing my last few dungeon bosses, all my cast counts reflect multiples of 5 in the hits break down, barring one where I took damage and lost a tick.
Has to be something in this patch, it was working fine all last week.
im in a naxx 25 and arc missle is buggged. its not finishing the cast. and the channel is being broken for no reason.
YES! I thought it was a UI error, having the same issue with mind flay.

The channels are going through fine. It IS just a UI bug. The channel bar isn’t taking haste into account. It’s incredibly clunky and hard to play around.
You can use this macro and spam it during arcane missiles it wont cancel the cast. All 5 missiles still go out it’s just a cast bar bug.

I dont think it is just a UI bug. As a shadow priest it would sometimes cancel after one tick and sometimes after 2 for me. but never full duration.
did you have varying amounts of haste? that is what people are saying. You probably had a little more haste one of hte times.
myself as arcane mage and a shadow priest in my naxx raid today had same issue. maddening!
happening to our shadow priest and 2 mages in naxx as well. very annoying and clunky to dps around this bug
Please fix this breaks the spec. Roll back the hitfix until you have a proper fix (to “trollflay”) please.
This seems to be caused by a hotfix attempting to fix the unintended interaction between snare reduction and mind flay (commonly known as trollflay)
Yep having the same issue with the cast bar not syncing to what the hasted cast time for missiles is so it’s just showing non-hasted and making it difficult to not clip the last missile time since I have to guess. Really hope it gets fixed soon.
Can we at least get an acknowledgement of this bug?

It’s all targeted channeled abilities I believe.
It is finishing the cast, it’s a visual bug on your castbar.
The bug is that the castbar isn’t accounting for haste so the castbar is showing it’s full time. This bug appears to only happens while inside an instance.
