Apparently this is the jailer

Blizzard doesnt lie lol they havent lied about the lore at all. inb4 Ion said sylvanas was morally grey, nah he said the horde was grey and seening how saurfang ended he isnt wrong

they said there was gonna be some mystery on who really burned teldrassil, but there was no mystery, it was a clear cut thing with no mystery

Also Grommash was not the final raid boss of WoD. Also Sylvanas was Garrosh 2.0. They said BfA was going to be a faction war expansion
but it was as Horde civil war and Old Gods expansion so that was a blatant lie.

Blizzard lies a lot.

There was totally mystrey like 80% of the playerbase fooled themselves into thinking the horde wasnt to blame even tho blizzard already said what happens, even tho on the ptr the horde fought all the way to teld, lol the horde breaks the army and left teld defenseless you think that would actually change the story if someone else burned it.

they thought there was more to it, because blizzard said there was more to it

I mean, who doesn’t think that?

The factions literally fought, lol, literally 8.3 is the only non faction war patch, does this mean that bc isnt about illidan and kael cause of a troll patch? Wrath of the lich king isnt the arthas xpac cause we fought yogg for a patch? I dont remember garrosh releasing some death god, I dont remember garrosh causing a genocide

they fought up to 8.1 and then took a backseat to the civil war and azshara

8.2 literally had pvp stuff but alright sureeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Hmmmm, i was hoping he would be more skeletony but this isn’t THAT bad.

I thought it was pretty clear that Nazjatar was still a warzone.

Such as why. Her destruction made it look like your average temper tantrum but Shadowlands reveals why she did it(to empower herself through the Maw).

The question remains: Why did she ally with the Jailer.

As Blizzard said we don’t see everything and what we were intended to ultimately learn is why not who. We still don’t know why she decided to side with the Jailer

She was planning to ‘‘invade the tree’’, you don’t give out orders to prepare an invasion and then destroy it.

It was a tantrum.

The following is from A Good War when the Horde forces are in Astranaar still, before the Horde even reaches Darkshore, well before Sylvanas’ final fight with Malfurion, and well before Sylvanas walks away from Malfurion like a Bond Villain and Saurfang spares him:

The kaldorei knew they were outnumbered. They knew their homeland was lost. Maybe a few of them knew in their hearts—just as she knew—that Darnassus would one day burn to ashes.

In all practicality, now knowing about her working with the Jailer, we now know based on the above that Sylvanas was planning to burn Teldrassil all along and in a fit from not breaking the Night Elves’ hope she just pushed her timetables forward.

However, yes, it was still a tantrum.

Yeah but from Warbringers she was planning to invade the tree, and from what you cited it could mean that she was gonna burn it perhaps after pillaging it?

You know to crush hopes.

It just doesn’t seem like her intention was to funnel souls.
What I am trying to say is that the ‘‘it was cuz Jailer’’ sounds like an a**pull

The Novella A Good War shows that at the time she talked to the Night Elf she was desperately trying to find a wound that wouldn’t heal(to fuel a lot of Deaths to funnel into the Maw) to replace Malfurion’s death due to Malfurion not dying.

A Good War even states that she always intended to burn Teldrassil. The Night Elf merely gave her the perfect excuse to do so immediately: Create a wound that won’t heal through burning Teldrassil.

Good point though her expression looks amused by Night Elf’s statement as if she gave her an idea and that she would relish proving her wrong.

That’s exactly what I’m saying, yes.

between naga and us maybe, but i dont even think the “battle for nazjatar” pvp event is canon and has little to no impact on the story

Full circle: we get to see Tirion again and he will help us fight the King Theoden look-a-like. (Spoiler: Both are voiced by the same actor)

He looks like the Ice King from Adventure time.
