Well I kinda like his design, if it is true. Makes me wish for that third faction with Sylvanas, where we gather artifact power all year along and Lich Santa rewards us with death powerz. :3

The Jailer would have to be the one possessed
 By a Saruman ripoff. Presumably his friend Mueh’zala since as we all know Saruman is a “friend and ally” according to Grima Wormtongue in the Movies.

Blizzard lies and misleads about lore all the time at Blizzcon. It’s called priming and its a technique Blizzard uses often in interviews and Q&As, often to great effect.

Poseidon looks like the Jailer more than Santa does and both Santa and Zeus looks like the Jailer more than the Titans do.

The Night God known as the Jailer is basically Poseidon and Zeus(who is associated with the Sky) combined with Nyx I suspect with Mueh’zala being Hades combined with Thanatos.

Could be both. Could be neither. All I’m saying is if 12 months from now we find out the Jailor is a fallen Titan or Pantheon’s father or whatever other crazy thing you don’t get to say “but Blizzard said at Blizzcon” because Blizzard straight up lies.

Also this is a Titan-adjacent creature if I’ve ever seen one. I bet the Titans are the most evolved forms of Kyrians or something.

Also I think the Jailor looks less evil than the Arbiter so that will be an interesting story development!

looks can be deceiving one might say. all we know is he is described as a central villain, but as you said “blizzard lies” like they did with teldrassil
