There’s like two other recolors they can use, a bronze-tinted one and a tarnished brass-colored one, the AoTC one is golden.
I’m all for recolors of mounts we can no longer obtain, a-la Amani Battle Bear or Zulian Panther.

No, its not irrelevant when we’re talking about raids and people excluding any newcomers. We’re not talking ahard raids with deep required knowlegde of exact positioning otherwise Hello World happens and you all wipe. We’re talking stuff like Immerseus who’s “Dodge the swirlies, dodge the cone, be careful where you place pools, spread around the platform to kill as many adds as possible on split phase, repeat until he pops up but he’s blue”. Let’s remind ourselves that Flex existed to encourage people to raid, and the Kor’kron wolf existed to encourage people to try to get into raids. It was bait to go “Get into this raid and get this thing”. That’s the whole reason the AotC mounts exist, they exist to get people to want to do the end expansion raids
I’m running off 10 year old memory here but yeah there were a few ‘aotc?’ ‘no but i know fights’ ‘soz can’t invite’ conversations at the time. And like, this is on a rogue with a fair bit of Throne done (pro tip for progging Tortos: don’t bring a melee heavy group. We had some Fun Times and may have been part of why I mained lock in BfA)

How can you climb the gear treadmill if the next step up is people wanting gear so far down the line that most of the raid is irrelevant to you? Hell, tonight I saw folks wanting 475s just for Gnarl and like. I’ve killed Gnarl on Heroic. You don’t need that much. Per your own description, folks wanting the 470s for Gnarl are the ones just wanting the carry

1: you can start your own group.
2: no one is required to bring you to their group.
No one said anything about it being hard. You fail to realize that you are one of multiple dps and theirs only so many xyz class people will take. There’s a million possible reasons why you didn’t get invited. The level of content doesn’t matter.
Ok? If you didn’t have aotc and the group required it then you don’t have a valid point.

You want to know what real gatekeeping is it’s not wanting people to experance things so it would be like no you can’t do heroic you are a scrub get lost that is gatekeeping this is a TIME LIMITED REWARD and the time has pasted.
So sick of people going " DURR THEIR JUST PIXELS" they are special because they have meaning they were saying hey i was there during this time or event or maybe they are a reminder of the friends i’ve had through out the years.
Just because you don’t have a attachment doesn’t mean others don’t i’m sick of people just not giving a toss about getting rewards for doing archievements like AOTC if they were as easy as everyone keeps saying this wouldn’t be a issue then would it because everyone would have them but they don’t why because it’s a hard. Can people still buy it sure same as people can buy elite and glad you can but you will be paying out the nose for it.
These mounts are special because they have great memerys attached to them some of friends that are no longer with us and i will be damned if i’m just going to give it away.
People keep saying FOMO is bad when it’s not it’s what drives people and gives them goals will everyone reach those goals no some will stumble some will fall some just won’t have the time and that sucks but that is life we can’t have everything i’m missed out on stuff but i’m not going to demand they readd it because i missed out i know they were timed and i missed the timer and it’s time everyone else just accepts that.

Nobody said they wanted it to spite people. They wanted it because there are legitimate cool things that Blizzard has designed over the years. Things like the Arcanite Ripper that’s just lost to time. Nobody gets to shred wicked beats anymore.
