For those that don’t know, I made biscuits in the shape of paws and bread keeps saying they are dog biscuits. No they are fuzz biscuits. Peanut butter biscuits with a little honey.

Framing this as “FOMO” is pretty stupid. I’m pretty tired of that term being thrown around for anything that involves a time frame. Mounts that were awarded for an accomplishment such as AOTC/Cutting Edge/Gladiator should absolutely not come to the trading post. They are essentially trophies for completing what blizzard sees as challenging content when it is relevant before being able to be plowed through on the PVE side, and on the PVP side glad mounts are basically trophies for winners of a tournament or something similar. Giving them out like this makes them worthless. It’s lame.
However, things like TCG mounts, annual pass mount, holiday items, things tied to RNG etc I think should all be eligible for the trading post. That’s just my opinion on the matter.

Assuming for a second this isn’t just a marketing ploy to generate more internet traffic (and if it is, well played)…
If this goes through, this will set a bad precedent. Being able to purchase a reward that people had to previously earn will completely destroy what little integrity this game has left.
While I have predicted eventually AotC mounts, Glad mounts and elite sets etc will make their debut appearance on the trading post eventually…I was expecting that to happen decades from now.
I do always get a good chuckle out of people who say things like “It’s just pixels, who cares???” Well, why do you care so deeply to have said pixels that you don’t currently have them. They’re just pixels at the end of the day, no?

just a thought lol. i remember reading back when the firestorm started for giving away fomo items / tcg items etc… that items earn in game via achievement / raid / pvp would never be given away. so what gives?
psa. i dont care. i wish they would bring everything back. nothing should leave. legendary quests, pre patch xpac scenario and mounts. everything must go. leave it all and give it all.

I mean, it’s been over a decade for this mount. How many decades in a 19 year old game would be acceptable?
It’s all just pixels, so who cares if they’re available to others, especially over a decade later? I don’t care deeply to have these particular pixels. I just don’t see the point in caring about gatekeeping them 12 years later, either.
The value of this mount, or ANY mount or pixels in this game, is subjective, based on opinions or feelings you have tied to it. Maybe that’s an achievement you’re proud of, or a nostalgic time in your life that you associate with it. Maybe it has value because of the amount of RL money or in-game gold spent to buy the AOTC carry. This mount isn’t going to be any less valuable to you just because other people have it. You’ll still be proud of your accomplishment & still have the nostalgia. Or feelings of money/gold well spent.
The idea that this item being available again somehow devalues your accomplishment is only in your mind based on the value YOU have assigned to it, because no one can take that accomplishment or those feelings away from you.
You can’t tell the difference between someone who earned this mount after weeks of progression with their guild, and someone who was just a warm body that paid for a carry. Because people absolutely paid for that carry back then. That doesn’t change the value of your accomplishment, though, right?
All that being said, I still don’t believe this is going to be on the trading post, and I think a lot of people have gotten themselves incredibly worked up for no confirmed reason. The idea of it potentially coming back for a tuned SoO event is much more likely, and kind of cool, for the nostalgia. Or maybe it’ll never see the light of day, like many things that are datamined. At the end of the day, they’re just pixels.
