Also this is neither here nor there, but on the toon you are posting on has not cleared heroic raid?
Are you referencing the actual aesthetic you get - the visual - with the void-y ness? If so, interestingly - and possibly a bug - it is only triggered from 1-19 and then 40+. 20-39 yields no voidy-ness! Which is fortuitous because that’s typically the ideal range for corruption level.

Meh, can’t really comprehend the “this is better because fewer people also get it” mentality. But it doesn’t hurt me either so I will say; changing the parameters of something to make it more exclusive takes something away regardless.
I think a new achievement with the parameters you want would work better; it preserves the old achievement, and you get a shinier shiny, no?

Use RaiderIO… it lists raid experience.

I don’t think that’s necessarily a good assumption. You can buy +15 carries for gear, get invited to a heroic group who needs to fill on N’Zoth, get one kill, and have AOTC. You don’t have to have done any of the other bosses on any difficulty.
I don’t necessarily think that’s a problem, but the way it is now, it ought to be called “Heroic: N’Zoth”, since that’s what it is.

True, but we do have raider.io for raid prog at a glance. Which tbh, I always wonder why some groups have “link aotc” when they could just use raider.io.

What’s stopping you to get AOTC when you can run one yourself by making your own group
There is no such thing as gatekeeping in WoW, or any game that has instanced content for that matter.
I’ve gotten bombarded with AOTC links when I was running a Normal group, that was full and listed as “waitlist”. I most certainly didn’t ask for AOTC.
