sadly, i think that represents most of the people complaining about missing out on the forums
Mouse over it. It will say “Earned by: Rhay” and then under that “Not completed by:” whatever your alt’s name is that you’re looking on, and won’t show up for others if you have only show character achievements to others checked.
No I didn’t - do you read? You’re saying something something … blah blah, let everybody get it after 5 years because everybody has invincible.
Invincible isn’t time locked - never was - so how does it compare in any relevant way to a time locked reward that people just can’t go back and get? It’s not going to be more common, it’s locked. It keeps its distinction.
See above.
I don’t care much for stuff like that, it’s all useless when you die. Should enjoy the stuff you have now tbh. Unless you are trying to make some capital, I don’t see the point. In WoW you can’t sell that stuff anyway, so when you die you just lose everything anyway.
Unless you can give your wow account to family members when you pass then all that stuff eventually will be extinct if this game survives long enough.
Invincible being time locked is not the discussion. You’re bringing up a point that wasn’t being discussed.
You said “I get you think these pixels should be important to you.”
My argument is entirely the other way. AS A COLLECTOR, I understand the fun in collecting them. I enjoy it. I enjoy comparing collections with other people.
But I disagree that it’s in any way IMPORTANT. In the context of what the discussion WAS when it comes to infinitely keeping them unobtainable. I simply disagree with that.
Because, as I stated, if you REALLY want to maintain that “special little sparkle” that comes with getting stuff when it’s current, WE ALREADY HAVE THAT with the Achv system. If you REALLY feel like your life is somehow slighted by the person on the Swift Zulian Tiger next to you unless you know if they “EARNNNNNNNNNNED it” or not… all you have to do is look up their the timestamp on their Achv. That system is ALREADY THERE.
There is NO REASON to remove things indefinitely from the game. Ir serves no purpose.
Commies want everyone to have everything, can’t reason with them.
Listen, get your tissues ready, you can’t go back and farm a Season X Glad Mount, or AoTC mount from WoD and you can’t go get the MT original appearances. And I get my sparkle knowing I earned something time locked, and it looks like (here’s another tissue) - it’s staying that way.
Letting people get a few items not everybody has is NOT the end of the world, it’s not killing the game, it’s not forcing people out the door, and all that - and the concept has been around in this very game (and many other MMORPGS) forever. It gives people something special to work towards and yeah, it is truly unique - you get bragging rights (those are WoW’s words, not mine).
You knew the score, you knew the drill. You didn’t get it, oh well.
I have a rare beanie baby that I got from the Mormons for one dollar. They’re splendid people!
If you could order it? Whatever, you do you. As long as you aren’t ordering it from me lol because I like it and I’m keeping it!
Not that I have any of this stuff, but I fail to see the issue with someone else also having what I had IRL.
The concept of “having it all available” is also around, and in other MMOs. MMOs that are quickly overtaking this one. So your argument is utterly invalidated.
I don’t think you fully understand that I have pretty much ALL of those things, and I STILL advocate for opening them all up after 5 years.
It is that 5 year period in which I agree with you (well, your point, you’re starting to come across as a raving lunatic) that people can show off and be proud of “that special thing they got.” Ok, wheeee.
After 5 years, you CAN STILL have that feeling if other people suddenly are allowed to get it… because you have the Achv that is timestamped to SHOW YOU ARE OH SO SPECIAL. I guess that’s not good enough for you? You just aren’t given a big enough trophy for how SPECIAL you are?
Me… I don’t care. I’m on to the next thing. That’s what collectors do.
I love how I’m hearing that now …. Blah blah, Asian games are moving away from the FoMo … blah blah…
It exists - that’s the reality - and it exists right now, in most MMORPGs.
I’m truly sorry you can’t have EVERYTHING you desire and want - but it’s really a you problem.
ROFL… ok. Scroll up. Try again.
Nah, I just can’t be bothered. Somebody else can give me the cole’s notes version later.
You’re wasting your time with a troll. Just ignore and move on at this point. I was happy to have an empty ignore list until today.
I bought this really cool glass mug at a yard sale. Turns out it is a vintage coke-cola glass that is like a $30 collectable.
It’s my drinkin’ cup! Mostly rum and coke of course, gotta stay on-brand.
I bet they don’t have the 2014??? Dragon companion pet from the Olympics.
GIVE ME the old appearances. I WANT that astral boomy staff
If everyone has it then nobody is special, and that’s what WoW wants, nothing unique, nothing of character, nothing of consequence, nothing of history, nothing at all.
We’re one expansion away from sitting in a circular room with a daily log in reward system for loot with zero consequence of danger and excitement.
Here’s a purple for logging in two days in a row! GRATS…now go beat on a training dummy and pay us 30 dollars for this epic armor skin.
