Anyone want cata reversed?

Expansion where we like… repair/regrow the world tree, fix the barrens, durotar is no longer a massive floodfest, etc. I don’t think its possible but I’d like to see auberdine return too… was my favorite place inthe game.

Not worth the resources and time.

Neither is half the stuff they do tbh

No. I loved Cata.

Vanilla = boring quests. Cata has some of the funniest.

I just want the old world back. Loved cata but it ruined azeroth for me.

That’s subjective, but generally it was incredibly well received and most people enjoyed seeing an updated world.

All the zones languishing in time are a waste and more needs to be done to pull in some of the older zones into the new expansions.

Building hubs that go to the graveyard is just a poor practice.

I’d love to see something done with Gilneas or Silvermoon. Or hows about the place between plaguelands?

Not me. Vanilla was filled with washed out colors and sharp angles. Cata brought some color and minor updates to different spots in the zones.

Go check out Stonetalon Mountains in Classic then fly around the same zone here. The difference is night and day.

I’m fine with the zone and quest changes post-Cata. I’m not fine with removing pre-Cata items for no good reason.

I do that once a week. Still prefer old zones.

Well, that’s probably why Blizzard created two versions of the game.

Enjoy Classic! I’ll continue to enjoy Cata :grinning:

I played in Vanilla and am also in the process of doing EK/Kalimdor Loremaster for Cata and have had such a great time doing it.

Seeing everything that was progressed forward, such as Desolace returning back to Mashan’she (it’s original name before the Legion destroyed it), gives me hope that maybe Duskwood might return to Brightwood or Blackrock Mountains may one day become Redridge Mountains again.

Seeing the groups like the Cenarion Circle trying to restore places like Felwood and heal it of its corruption to make it back into Northern Ashenvale are just awesome and more progress across all old zones need to happen in this way.

Blizzard is incredibly good at the localized story/lore. They need to return to form and stay away from whatever BfA/SL was.

Yea I don’t much about care about story or lore tbh. I just want things to look pretty and work well lmao

I want a new revamp. Not Vanilla WoW but a new foundation to build upon. No more Plaguelands, no more blasted lands, but the state of Azeroth after everything that happened offscreen since Cata.

I’d much prefer that over Avaloren tbh.

What is this?

I don’t think there’s anything for me to look forward to in an updated old world, so the idea doesn’t appeal to me.

Apparently “the Titans lied” and there is a secret continent that was never part of pre-Sundering Kalimdor that was able to resis the influence of the Titans and has remained hidden for 15,000 years or so. It is what lies east of Eastern Kingdoms and West of Kalimdor - the so-called back of Azeroth.

Cata’s world change would be a lot better if they updated Azeroth…

we still have quite a few areas where the world hasn’t reflected the story from that era. Ashenvale and eastern Feralas are two examples I can think of off the top of my head that have lore significant quests & visuals that have just been sitting there, not updated.

They need to have a better plan for updating the world after major content patches. especially with the way they have forced those stories on us via pathfinders :100:

Does that mean getting rid of the constant pop culture joke quests and going back to something that felt like an actual, coherent fantasy world?
