How bad is it? I am at work atm.
I couldnât even load into game yet.
Iâd like to know as well.
Itâs horrible as a tank. Every little pack was hitting very hard, and the assassin was spawning a lot. And i was doing it only on 5th floor, cause i didnât bother to do last week beyond 4âŚ
I died when got to a room overcrowded with mobs that had different types of CC and an rare that was hitting me for 6k each slap.
Beyond that, all the anima powers that dropped for me was trash, idk if this is related to the nerfs too, but was bad.
Torghast was already boring and unfun, now it is punishing as well.
Bad, bad designed chore.
Iâd estimate they added about 40% HP to mobs as a healer.
The mobs became like bullet sponges - not much more challenging, but just took noticeably longer to deal with. Probably added 10 minutes onto my run.
I wasnât able to do the last boss on my Torghast (not sure of the name, its the big blob that splits into smaller blobs). Tried it on my Paladin in Prot and died 3 times before I gave up - and I was doing everything I could to survive, and in any other circumstance I would have been fine. But it hit like a freight train and I just couldnât survive. At that rate, I doubt Iâll be doing many more Torghast runs. I donât mind a challenge but this wasnât that - I wasnât making any mistakes, I simply couldnât stay alive long enough to get him down below about 25%.
Got beat down in floor 7. Thought I was a champ, felt like a chump.
Was something tuned. It did feel like things were hitting A LOT harder. I thought it was just that I moved up a level.
THey increased HP for healers run, increased dmg for tank runs
Idk this setup is impossible. High hp with increased dmg %, and progressively increasing attack speed. Elites just turn into machine guns before you can get them down.
Did the 3rd layer on my fresh-ish 60 guardian to grab some ash. Lost boss was hitting me for 15-20k per shot. I had the mawrat +100% max HP (around 90k total life), 45 stacks of souls, etc. and I BARELY survived⌠It was unreal. Last night I was speeding through Layer 5âŚ
This. They all have little built in âenrageâ timers on the floor guardians and final boss and the extra health just makes it longer and longer for a healer to try to get them killed. Not to mention youâre pretty screwed if you run into something you need to repeatedly interrupt quickly and are on a resto druid.
I wiped out on layer 7 floor 4 when two elites were side by side. My face hurt after that confrontation.
They really do love increasing the dps population.
In a word: Oppressive.
When you have arrogant players on the forums boasting about how easy something is as a tank or healer naturally the Developers are going to take notice and look at the numbers.
Which they did and made changes as to naturally ramp up the difficulty for âSoloâ tanks and healers who were breezing through Torghast whilst the solo dps players were complaining of having issues.
Which, I guess hasnât changed much because I still see complaints from solo dps players, only now I see threads from Tanks/Healers.
Blizzard Developers Spreading the Love.
A lot of people are complaining that they canât do the upper layers immediately, but remember you can always scale down and do the easier difficulties. That is where the bulk of the ash is.
Cleared lower one on layer 7 it hit a lot a harder than usual, about to do upper 7 not looking forward to it.
Imagine spending an hour only to fail at the end.
Tired of blizzards knee jerk reactions, sledgehammer fixes is all these monkey brains understand
Itâs doable as prot, havenât tried on my healer monk yet.
Doable, but not enjoyable⌠They removed all the joy from doing Torghast for me.
It wasnât any harder it just ended up taking longer.
It went from kinda fun to do to an awful slog through this thing.
Doable, died twice to random eliteâs. On a layer 3 as a 185 Guardian. Still seemed like I mowed bosses with the right powers tho. Going to try higher today. Spent about 40 mins or so.
