Anyone thinking Microsoft buying Blizzard are in for a disappointment

So just don’t buy the Windows 10 Edition? The Java Edition is still readily available for anyone who wants the OG Minecraft experience.

Unfortunately I think it might mean an even longer wait until the next xpac. When they bought Obsidian there was a solid extra year added onto the production of everything.

Safe to say Microsoft wont tolerate cubicle crawling or drinking at work though.

This was bound to happen as some point. Microsoft is, in my opinion, better than some of the other options for purchasing it.

I’d say its too early to tell whether this is a good, bad, or even neutral thing. I feel like odds are not much will actually change for us players. Maybe some promotional stuff or a few hats here or there but, hey we’ll have to see!

FA 76 was a total disaster way before MS acquired them, this is an invalid point.

Everything that happened to Fallout 76 happened before M$ purchased Zenimax, and lands squarely on the shoulders of Jeff Gardiner wanting the game to be a looter shooter instead of following Todd Howards vision of a gritty survival game.

I hope I can buy the pink rocket

Did Jeff Gardiner work at Blizzard? WoW certainly has become more looter/shooter over the years.

I don’t think this is actually unfortunate. I mean, unfortunate that it must happen. But I think 10.0 simply wouldn’t have been ready. But they would have released it anyway.

Some games toe line enough to still drive players to argue otherwise. Just look at WoW and the token.

I think the big hurdle the gaming community needs to come to terms with is this reality, but a lot of people aren’t there yet.

At least it’s not EA. I mean it could be a lot worse.

A little off topic, but the title of this thread makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Clark, time to go back to school!

That does indeed suck, though considering it has a massive assorted amount of mods to play around with and play with other people as well, it’s not that big a deal breaker to me personally. It’s only the Multiplayer only or Single-Player games that doesn’t have much Cheats or Mods (cough cough, Ubisoft) when it become a deal breaker.

Fallout 76 was bad because Bethesda screwed up even harder then they ever could. Something that happened way before Microsoft purchased Bethesda.

A game that came out 3 years before Microsoft bought them is Microsoft’s fault?
You’re grasping for some mighty fine straws there, fella. You’re being ridiculous and melodramatic.

This is a good thing for WoW because WoW needs a desperate shake up. After “don’t you guys have phones?”, OW loot box debacle, WoW cash shop (including in BC #somechanges LOL), wow mobile game mentality (table missions, seasonality of WoW) Blizzard has any kind of high ground here? And don’t even get me started on Activision products like CoD. This will bring lots of capital, better oversight, new talent, to Blizzard. And hell, we might get cool games made by other studious based on WoW.

I’m incredibly excited.

Want that weapon from the raid? The one that has a 0.01% drop rate? No worries, you can now get it at the Microsoft Store for the discounted price of $19.99. Or you can get it as a DLC with the entire tier set for the discounted price of $99.99.

Also, do not forget. Do you want to PVP? Sign-up for the battle pass, $14.99 for seasonal access.

Locked you out how? You probably need to convert your old Mojang account into a Microsoft one. Everyone had to go thru that years ago.

Unlike Blizzard, I like Microsoft. I’m a long time costumer. Im satisfied with them when it comes to gaming. Cant tell this about many brands. Theyre decent. Im optimistic with wow future.

I would like for you to give me the actual game title where Microsoft actually did that versus the company that made the game.

Are you insinuating that WoW could get worse?
