What is it a 20 second cooldown? Removes all my dots and gives them a shield? Why did they came up with that?
god forbid lock has to reapply dots occasionally and not zugzug UA+mindgames
Um…I know of no ability or talent that hunters have that does that, at least for BM/SV…our only shield basically puts us in the fetal position (aspect of the turtle keeps a hunter from attacking with abilities/weapons)… survival tactics causes feign death to remove dots…but it doesn’t add a shield by any conventional sense, just a damage debuff.
I’d suggest quitting Lock. I’ve been an Affliction main since Wrath. I’ve hit at least 2400 as it every expansion except MoP because I didn’t play that expansion.
This is probably the second worst expansion for Affliction besides BFA. The class is so horribly designed that it can’t succeed.
I’m now a Zugzug Enhance. Finishing off my glad games, it’s a joke how other specs are free rating. Shadowplay is good into like 5 comps. There’s just instant loss games above 2200 on Lock, especially against Turbo, TSG, and TWD. Against a decent WW, DH, Spriest(if he’s smart enough to GF>MD), or Rogue. There’s literally nothing you can do but die. You can outplay for 10+ minutes and still lose because the balance of the game is so broken.
I’m being zugzug’ed by hunters now. They are never scared because they can feign away my 5 globals I use to dot him up.
Another question. Why is that a thing? Gf should make us dispel miss.
The 90% damage reduction add’s what looks like a shield, it is however a damage reduction.
This was part of a fix that allowed spells already “in air” to also get reduced by the 90% reduction. For example chaos bolt and greater Pyro.
It’s like 25 I think and it is COMPLETE BS. That legendary HARD counters the entire affliction spec.
…It’s not occasionally. Literally any time they start taking ANY dot damage it falls off.
Name one other legendary that cucks another spec so hard. It’s like it was MADE to counter aff.
It’s 15 seconds when using the legendary I linked above. Certain specs are supposed to counter other specs, that’s one of the biggest flaws blizzard has created in the arena scene by homogenizing specs.
Arena was originally built when specs had a more formal rock-paper-scissors design. That’s what kept certain specs from just dominating the ladder.
Feign death removing all dots on a 15 second cooldown is pretty stupid, right up there with things like triune ward, corruption slow, etc.
I think blizz “fixed” that MD interaction. Casting MD while G-faded no longer allows UA dispel backlash to miss you.
Not even close, triune ward is vastly superior because it works against everything. There’s only 2 specs in the game where removing dot’s is even that important. Heaven forbid those classes have even one class that can counter their dots
Yes, some classes should counter others, not be completely immortal vs them. There has always been a chance to win bad matchups if your enemy made mistakes.
To put an item in the game that specifically shuts down a spec, is absolutely a fail by the devs.
There is counter play to it. You should be looking to play with an spriest/Aff comp, and as soon as the hunter FD’s normal dots load him up with UA + Mindgames so it’s extremely painful on the healer to dispel it, but it potentially lands you a kill on the hunter if he doesn’t.
You can win if the healer dispels it, follow up with silence / stun on the healer and he’s dead without trinket.
I’ll take essentially a 6 second immunity to certain classes every 20 seconds over the slow when I already have a spammable CoE. There’s literally no other legendary that actually gives Lock a higher damage increase than the slow legendary. Locks wouldn’t even run it if we had a Legendary that helped us kill.
I am sorry some classes and specs counter yours. Try Venthyr warrior maybe?
Or just kill the hunters pet and healer?

Absolutely nonviable target if you’re a spec that relies on DoTs.

Of course Fire Mages (and ONLY fire Mages) need a nerf. You really think it’s necessary to nerf Frost/Arcane in any way right now? Triune is fine.
Nerf Fire-specific stuff like DB/Cauterize.
Frost is a bigger dampener than the other 2 specs, it will be fine without it, and like what 3 people play arcane, even with ward it’s pretty mediocre and still ignored by most mages, the spec itself needs more work.

You shouldn’t be asking for hunters nerfs, you should asking for warlock buffs I’d say.
Stop wasting the global to put dots on him, put them on his pet, then just go for fears on the hunter and keep damage on other people
If he uses feign to avoid a fear dot him at that point but you’re obviously not getting anywhere just throwing out a UA on them
You can just keep up corruptions and maybe agony as well just to be annoying when globals are free
Why would you put mindgames on the hunter when the healer can just top him off or he can turtle? No need to dispel it in that situation, right? Doesn’t mindgames have a 14k damage cap on it anyway?
