Way too early for me to tell; I’m less than 10 hours in.
Having said that, purely subjective hot-takes:
- I’m not an anime fan and the art style of the game never appealed to me. However, I got over that pretty quickly and I don’t even notice it now.
- You can create a non-sexualized toon if you want. Not all of the models have their panties showing.
- Questing system UI feels a little clunky but it’s okay. I haven’t counted but you need to issue more clicks-per-quest than WoW
- It’s supposed to be story-driven but that story seems to be moving along slowly. I’ll be patient.
- It’s interesting so far. I’m engaged and entertained.
Disclaimer: me checking out FF doesn’t mean I’m bagging TBC. I’m just seeing what all the shouting is about. But I do play more than one game at a time, so…

A brand new studio launching their first MMO that they’ve already redesigned once since the last release. You don’t have to be nostradamus to predict the beta is probably going to be a complete debacle. If they release a medicore game that’s kinda OK it’ll be a win tbh
