I am a hoarder who put tons of mats in mail box by sending them from my bank alt to main toons. But, after 30 days, they werent sent back to my alt, they just all disappeared!!!
They get deleted after 30 days.
Make a bank alt or so. Give it bags and send all the stuff there.
Mailbox not a reliable way to keep many stuff saved especially
if you’re unexpectedly gone for a month lol.

No, I mean, if A send something to B, after 30days, the mail wont be deleted but send back to A, so its 60 days in total. Now my mails got deleted/disappeared in 30days instead of 60 days.
Did you maybe get confused and you thought it the bank alt was the recipient so you had the 60 days, when actually the alt was the sender and had already received it back?
Like, you had the mats on your alt, sent it to your main. And then on your main you immediately hit return to sender to not clog your main’s mailbox, and so the alt already had the “return to sender” mail on it.
Im 100% sure cuz I saw them in my main toons just a day before, and I didnt click ‘send back’.
