See title. Fishing Buddy is broken. Fishing is my favorite thing to do in WoW, and in 16 years, I have never fished in this game without double-click cast.
Today, I had to fish without double-click, and I do NOT like it. It’s hideous.
So. Fishing Buddy. Anyone know if it’s going to be unbroked/maintained/updated for WotLKC?
All my add-ons have slowly been updated over the course of the past day so I imagine it will get updated eventually
I wonder what even needs to be updated between game clients for addons. If it worked in TBC and none of the API calls have been removed then what makes it now broken? 
No idea, but I tried both the Classic and Crusade versions, and neither one shows up in the game. No minimap icon, no response to /fb, and no double clicking. It’s like it’s just not there.
I’m hoping so. I don’t wanna lose all my fishing data.
There is generallly a line for game version that needs to be updated in the lua.
if it’s that simple, I wonder if I can just duck in there and change it.

yes i need fishing buddy, fishing only gets better in wrath!
As of today 18th September 2022, Fishing Buddy is still not working…Miss it deeply.
Respectfully request a fix for it from Author.

After reading a number of forums, i tried the Delete and Re-install method, and i’m happy to report that this did in fact work.
I have mine working. Like all of you it wouldn’t update or work. I unistalled it using curseforge client, and installed it again.
it shows up as
Fishing Buddy (classic)
FishingBuddy-BCC-0.7.9.zip
in the client
in the game it shows up as
Fishing Buddy (Crusade/WoTLK)

Theres a whole new fishing buddy for wrath. curseforge dot com/wow/addons/fishing-buddy-crusade it was last updated sept 4th 2022
I just hot key mine to 1 when I fish. I know its not as good as fishing buddy, but it makes due for now.
there is nothing wrong with fishing buddy. I use it every day, including this morning
