Shadowflame necromancy spec would be cool
It’s not going to be melee because evokers were meant to be ranged. It was released with a DPS spec and a healing spec that use mobility to compensate for their reduced spell range, and neither have any melee spells, indicating that a melee spec would require redesigning the class from the ground up. Meanwhile, the classes with both melee and ranged specs (hunter, shaman, and druid) were designed with some degree of parity in mind.
Rogues have 3 melee specs. No ranged even though rogues in Diablo are both and outlaw rogues use guns for several abilities.
Give dracthyr body size 5 and 6.

This makes me want to roll a dracthyr.
As a 2 spec class I’m hoping they don’t give evoker another spec before us, but blizz hates dh as shown the last few years so… guess we’ll have a 3rd dragon soon.
At the very least, it would set a precedent for the practice. One that Demon Hunters would benefit from. My guess is they’ll get a third when we go cosmic again and they theme it around a narrative of Demon Hunters finding new purpose by shifting focus to creatures of the void.
I don’t see why they couldn’t just give every class a new spec over the course of future patches

Nope, I’d rather it be a 2nd ranged DPS or healer spec.
If it’s like FFXIV dancer where you pick the DPS gigachad of the party and act as an enabler for them, I’m all for it.
There’s really nothing a second ranged or healer spec can provide that devastation and preservation don’t already do. Tank is the only thing that would actually make sense and feel new.

Completely depends on how much they embrace the support role.
I hope it’s anti melee and they make us stand 60 yards away

I still trying to figure out why we don’t have a mail wearing tank? Mail is a higher armor class than leather. Any yet, every leather wearer, except rogue, has a tank spec. An no mail wearing tanks.
