Just watched the new Kyle Hill video and now I’m convinced there’s bots everywhere.

Well, I guess we’ve always known that the game is full of gold farming bots, but now I’m wondering if there’s bots just going around conversing on the forums and interacting with people in-game and we’re not able to tell the difference

If there’s any bots here on the forums, I’d like to politely request that you identify yourself. Come on, don’t be shy

Dead internet theory is ridiculous to me because it relies on the idea that people aren’t just -like- this. It must be bots.

That is definitely one of the ways large language model programs are tested. I’ve seen a number of posts over time that have some characteristics of such. Not that it’s going to matter. We’re just yelling into the void here as it is.
