Happening to me on Tich. Seems like several high pop severs are affected. Low pop severs not tooooo much as far as I can tell from my very limited sample size.
This has been happening to me forever! I changed servers and for the longest time it had the toon at the old sever till I refereshed the bliz account or something like that - forgot what I did. its slow to update.
Yeah. I was getting it on the few toons I happened to have in Stormwind. (all on Draenor, which is a west coast server. I’m in the Rocky Mtn time zone.)

Yes - been seeing it all morning in SoloShuffle.
Constant disconnects. “This character with that names already exists.” error. Disconnecting when using portals and zoning in. Game is currently unplayable for me.

sence yesterday and now it is way worse , turned in tickets to no avail bliz seems to think the problem is with my new computer even tho it is affecting many many others.
I twitted them they posted this back to me from CS Blizzard…" Its a DDoS attack they are monitoring"…I say BS…this game is not acting like its being DDoS …
Based on the theme of a lot of the posts I think it has something to do with zone switching. So as you move from one zone to another things are breaking down somewhere.
same thing here but it all started yesterday for me . now the game is unplayable.
Game is literally unplayable. Logged into my Evoker in Valdrakken and it seemed fine. 2 minutes later and everyone is moving in place like a huge lag spike but it never recovers.

Seems if you use the boat in SW too get too Dragon Isle everything loads up fine…it seems the Portals are the big issue along with log in screens too BG and dungeons and that…
What weekend ? it’s Monday.
I was finally able to log into the game for the first time today. My toon is in Valdrakken and I could not use: 1) portal to Org, 2) the mailbox, 3) vendors, 4) flightpath to anywhere, and 5) portal to Dalaran though I did have to take the cooldown for it.
With the Fourth of July tomorrow …this is considered a long long weekend for many workers…Saturday…sunday monday and tuesday off…
