Anyone just biding their time until the Riot MMO is released to jump ship?
I love Warcraft and League…and only a League MMO could make me turn away from the WoW addiction.

Aye.
Hope its good enough to blow these devs out of the water.
How do you know it’s going to be any good? Also, aren’t you going to be waiting for another 4 to 5 years?
No.
Although that LoL show on Netflix looks and I don’t even partake in LoL.
You’re going to be biding your time for a number of years. This is almost as bad as people saying they can’t wait for Dreamhaven sub-studio to put out a game to rival WoW – which will be years from now, if ever.
What have those studios that are manned with top ex-Blizzard employees been doing? It’s been years, you’d think they’d have at least something to show. An announcement of a game, a trailer or something.
I don’t, but I’m still interested in it. I also happened to like Ghostcrawler when he worked for Blizz, so seeing him as the lead dev makes me hopeful.
Of course it won’t be ready for a number of years so still just a casual interest from me.
In the short term, we can all watch Amazon’s A New World try and ultimately fail to dethrone WoW.
Not sure how I could wait on something I know nothing about to jump ship for lol.
I’ll try out New World and Ashes of Creation but there is no guarantee I would quit WoW for either one though.
Yes. Just to see if there’s still any interest left in new mmos in a stagnant genre.
Honestly can you even say WoW is any good at this point? The heavy criticisms and let downs have been pretty rough. We still here though. Only reason I am is because I need something to take up the time-slot for boredom in a game world I generally like.
If Riot releases a League game-world MMO then that is pretty much good enough for me.
Also the developers they hired have made some of the best content I have loved.
I won’t hold my breath, I’ll wait to see actual results.
Much as I am hoping it is good and will certainly look at it, it’s still miles off even if everything goes to plan. Be honest, it’s still vaporware until we get an official announcement, for all we know it’s still in the whiteboard ‘n’ post-it stage.
Therefore I play other MMOs I already know I like, so I’m not sitting on my thumbs for 5 years or worse get disappointed if it fails.
Agreed…there’s a LONG list of ‘WoW killers’ that are lying in the wake of WoW’s success. idt WoW is perfect, but it’s solid
that will be like 10 years from now your wife/husband probably won’t let you play games then anyhow
I love WoW, but I’m surprised with all the geniuses out there in the tech world, nobody has taken a look at WoW and figured out how to make something better.
Need those divorce papers ready
trust me when I tell you that you do not want to go through a wow related divorce!
Exactly. The thing that is needed is a dedicated playerbase who already loves the world story (such as LoL) and content that is immersive. The fact the lead producer is the same person that once lead it in WoW gives me hope they know what to do.
I have watched with much enjoyment every “wow killer” that has come…and almost universally gone.
I’m quite interested to see what RIOT will have to offer. I’m sure, as for every such game that has come, there are those that will jump ship for it. I hope they enjoy sailing their new seas.
