I can imagine how stressful having it break on live is.
I’ve worked in tech for decades and if there is one thing that’s consistent – it’s that no matter how well it works on local, or on dev or even on staging environment, something will always break on live. For just magical reasons that keeps us who code up at night.
For over 2 weeks straight though? I’m guessing someone messed up somewhere if they still can’t get the servers to be even somewhat stable.

I’m guessing that trying to connect servers/databases/hamster wheels that were meant to be kept absolutely apart from each other for 19 years, is a pain in the behind to now get to talk to each other.
But I’m not a SysOp either
I honestly don’t care about being reimbursed? How long has this been occuring? An hour? Honestly might be better to play a different game?

It’s possible that it could be a targeted attack on the authenticator system. A DDOS is basically when you shove bits of information from multiple computers to crash something. The fact that most are probably stuck in a queue might be a testament of it.
I was doing WQs for gold on my paladin, no rings appeared when I started a dragonriding race before I got a black screen, I rebooted my PC, the game asked me to log in, and I couldn’t because the Battle.net app on my phone wouldn’t connect. This happening so often is inexcusable.
downdetector shows 9000+ since 3pm, its gonna be a long night …
