It let me in, but it won’t actually connect or anything. And yet the news feeds are full of activity. That’s the real headscratcher for me.

Blizz is going with the Elon model. If you for B-net plus you get unlimited access to the game and get to the front of every Que, if you are on standard B-net you have to wait to access one of the 6000 standard daily login slots.

I have been trying to log in for over an hour. still no luck.
In fairness to Elon, his “pay for verification” scheme is a lot more fair than the arbitrary system the old Twitter used, only verifying their preferred influencers.
Yeah now anyone with 8 bucks can be “verified!”

They say they’re “currently investigating” and blaming the authentication servers as per usual.

I mean…that’s clearly where the issue is. As to the cause, that’s anyone’s guess.

Just disable xrealm as clearly the issue hasnt been resolved
If it’s a DDOS I would just stop bothering to try to login, it’s only going to make it worse
Tuesday afternoon they scheduled BNet maintenance for 4 hours so I doubt it’s a DDoS and it’s not Russia.
It’s most likely the fact that for years Blizz always said no to cross realm trading but now they’re trying it and I suspect it’s not going well.
So we’ll probably have more incidents like this to come yet.
