So I struggled with all the normal āDelete thisā and āReinstall thatā things and then it randomly completed and I didnāt seemingly do anything to facilitate it.

Ok, seriously?! THANK YOU!!! Iāve been working on a fix for this for 2 hours!! Multiple blue screens of death and errors and your suggestion fixed it. I hope you have a most magnificent rest of 2022!

And to think my best effort was playing Frisbee with the dog for 30 minutes and hope the app does whatever it needs to.

Try nuking any running Discord stuff. It worked for me after that, and if I were to guess, game overlay stuff? I dunno, may be coincidence, may not be. Regardless, after closing and opening the agent, force closing the processes, it only worked after closing discord and trying again.

After 40 mins, 2 pc restarts, a repair scan, and countless close and reopens i just left it alone and it randomly started working.

This was the only thing that worked for me. Completely remove the Battle.net desktop application and re-install. Nothing else worked. I was not in the mood to re-install the whole game.
All of the above didnt work for me unfortunatley, What did was right click the Battle.net launcher, properties, compatibility, check Run this progam as administrator. Do the same for the update agent. Then allow it to make changes to device. That worked for me first go.

Have tried everything listed aboveā¦
Deleting cache folders, re-installing the launcher, running .exe as administrator, ending/restarting task manager programs, restarting computer etc etc etc and nothing has workedā¦
Is this launcher actually worse than Riotās?

I am having the same problem. I have scrolled through everything before now and tried them all. Still āinitializingā. I made a support ticket, weāll see if that helps any.
i had the same problem all day. uninstalled wow, deleted the wow folder ( had 2 installs on my computer, dont know if that made a different but deleted both) reinstalled from scratch and it started working again
