Idk I’m just like not really that excited and normally I am very pumped for new wow content….
Just not really looking forward to playing more content where the devs just don’t really care to listen to player feedback…
More regular tuning passes? Baseline covenant ability tuning??? When? Instead just a patch that was wasted revamping torghast when we didn’t want it revamped and a patch wasted on m+ scoring when raider io was doing fine.
This patch needed to focus on FUN like actually useable and fun legendaries and new conduits not just a few new soulbind rows

I can fly and I still have some gametime left. Other than that… it’ll just be more M+ and a raid I won’t care about.
Not much to see really.

I’m not either. They’re extending on systems I hate.

Systems upon systems upon systems.
Remember when Ion said they were making gear, gear again?
Now he’s adding single patch length borrowed power systems in the form of domination shards.
How can you tell Ion is lying? His lips are moving.

i was excited for 9.0 then it came out and i got through its systems and wasnt a fan. so, the systems are the same, therefore i am not hyped for the patch overall.
i am hyped for: new raid to raid with guild, prideful is gone and im curious to see how the routes change in mythic plus, i guess i want to see the overall story play out more, and the night fae campaign. itll be fun to gear up with the guild again.
rest of it i could care less about.

I was actually really hyped when the 9.1 PTR first dropped and was getting excited but over time they’ve done a really good job of just completely killing that hype….
I think the majority of us just want more regular tuning passes so “off meta” specs are more viable in the content we like to play, PVE AND PVP.
Throw in more legendary diversity and then you’ve got a great game!! Sustain that game with new dungeons to run in M+ every major patch and BOOM. Money

I haven’t been hyped for a patch since legion.

No matter how they split the egg, they will never make everyone happy. People have stuck themselves into niches of the game and expect only their part to be catered to.

I’m not hyped or remotely interested in 9.1.
After a long break from SL, not wow just not doing SL content… I thought I’d take my highest renown alt and get 40 on it to have it ready for flying as quick as possible.
Did the 20 save soul quest in maw, questioned why am I putting myself through this kind of weird low-tier entertainment.
I really want to like WoW, always enjoyed the world that it was, the races, the fantasy but man it’s a really crummy game and 9.1 feels like no meaningful improvement on anything.
For me that is.

Compared to past patches (especially ones where flying is being unlocked) I’m not nearly as excited as I normally am. Maybe I’ve just been playing too long, idk. Having said that, this is still my all-time favorite game, but honestly others are holding my attention much easier right now. It’s mostly my friends and guild mates that are keeping me subbed at this point.

I don’t know man I really disagree. I think honestly every can be happy if they just spent the dev resources but it truly seems they are just neglecting the game, just not working on it at all. (That’s not actually the case — the case is that they have very limited dev resources and they chose to spend them on torghast/m+ rating systems instead of on the classes, which was a huge mistake).
I won’t really understand why they chose to revamp torghast and the M+ rating feature MID EXPAC, when they are so adamant about avoiding major reworks for the classes in the middle of the expac. It just really seems like the Torg/m+ rating things should have been fleshed out in beta and before the release of the game.
They really truly could make people happy. It just involves balancing the off meta specs to be more in line with meta specs by performing REGULAR tuning passes — they just don’t! And that makes people really angry.
Most of the community driven problems are in fact caused by infrequent balance passes
Same. I am a long time 17 year wow player, but SL broke the streak. I want to play wow, I want to enjoy it and have fun; but its not fun. Plus they don’t value my time. I have a full time job, a house, a spouse, getting older, etc. I don’t have 4 or 5 hours a day to get all my task done and learn every system to keep up anymore. I also hate the gear reset of each patch, all that work for nothing.
There is no “world” in wow anymore. I love world content, but there barely is any…all instances now. Sadly, I have been having a blast in GW2. They still have tons of open world content and they value your time.
I am gonna play the story of 9.1 then, switch back to the story of GW2. I hope the Devs listen one day. Its not all about how hard can the content be, its how enjoyable it can be. (Yes, I can play Classic, but I already did that when it was new)

Nope. I’m nervous they’re going to destroy the lore more than they already have, and I’m worried that literally nothing will be resolved by the end of it. THEN I’m worried that the wait for 9.2 will be at least as long as the wait for 9.1. There is almost nothing to look forward to, tbh.

Grrrr…I am just not looking forward to going in to the Maw again. After my Renown hit 40, I quit logging in for the past few months. I didn’t miss the game for one minute. I know very little about 9.1, but it looks like a lot of it will be Maw-centric. I don’ wanna!
I’ll grind out whatever I have to in order to fly, but probably not with glee.

Sub ends in nov. But i uninstalled the game right after i hit 60 on this character a few days ago.
Time to move on.

I’m indifferent to 9.1 because I only play older, pre-Shadowlands content anyway. I might start collecting more pets though if the patch lifts the restrictions on pet collection size.

Mostly just want to see the new raid. Otherwise, I’m a wait-and-see sort of guy.

The good news is that if 9.1 flops or ends up being boring, there’s always TBCC to fall back on until 9.2
To be honest, I was expecting August, so this is earlier than I was planning. I am totally not prepared for 9.1, which is fine, because I’m super casual anyway.
