Yeah having to spend gold to try out new damage types is really low on my list which sucks because I like playing different characters to pull off stunts that other characters can’t. But even if I find my rogue alt fun, whats the point of spending gold to make my outlaw rogue do less damage then my warlock in every situation even if I put in the time and money to gear it. Its annoying because this sort of thing was just better done in late bfa and legion where it was actually kind of fun to be able to make a working character in no time flat. In shadowlands you have to pay the alt tax, and to me that is a decent disincentive to playing alts.
After all why should I play and gear my outlaw rogue with two 291 legendaries, weeks of effort and gear hunting only to do less damage then my main in every situation. Its a shame because outlaw is really fun in its rotation, but even if I geared it, and spent the gold I would be trolling my group by taking it to a prog key vs my main even if I got it to the same ilvl.

Thanks to similar information posted on another thread (Thank you Thallia!) was able to “skip the line” on my first legendary.
Pretty easy right now, but can think of how horrible it was before.

I didn’t come to this thread because of who posted it. I came here because I have been giving an alt more attention and wanted to share my experience since the topic lined up. I was always amicable and literally apologized for my delivery seeming harsher than intended. You, on the other hand, are sitting here accusing me of being an evil communist hellbent on attacking you, when I only started making digs seeing you do what you’ve been doing to other people what you’ve been doing to me after spending much more time than necessary trying to reason with you.

not a stalker but legendries on alts have always been a sort of an optional thing…
fortunately for me on a low pop server lego blanks go for 15-20 k at worst.
on high pop they go for 30-50k and I really think that market will collapse before 9.25.

bris has been doing this for about 2 years, I took a whole year break off the game but he was right there the second I came back, it’s bizarre. I didn’t even remember who he was at the time, but he sure remembered me.
I remember a guy I refuted on twitter remembered me after TEN years (and I was on a different account) and was STILL smarting over it.
Sadly, a week of stalking rage is nothing in my book compared to what I normally get.

It’s/was possible to afford them without tokens, but definitely at the beginning of the season it was very daunting unless you already had a stockpile. If you farmed the mats yourself, you could get them made for a wayyy cheaper price. That’s kinda how it goes with everything, raw mats are and are kept quite pricey, so if you’re buying the mats instead of farming and selling the crafted piece (or any “made” item) you will barely break even. The economy in this game is messy.
