Anyone else really kind of feel like retail should have gotten 2H enhance shamans, warlock tanks, and Mage Healers? I know it’s a lot more simple to throw something on classic since we’re working with over 20 years of game mechanics.
I just can’t help but feel like we should have those cool things on retail. :I
Problem is to do the things in retail that would make it ‘cool’, it would require major gutting and rework.
Devs already can’t balance anything as is. Imagine trusting them with the reworking required to get a functional 2h shaman for example xD
I agree if they can’t balance everything perfectly to a .01% variance from level 1-70 and all forms of content they should stop treating balance as a problem for making creative choices. Augmentation is cool, bring back gladiator stance.
1-60 is negligible. That is purely leveling content. However, with how bad pvp is and it just gets worse every xpac…
Another aspect, how damage rotations are more about cd management than actual dps abilities.
Aug is cool, but also a massive mistake. They showed us what its like having an actual support spec and stopped there. They mentioned in interviews about not adding another support type spec which adds onto the mistake.
They opened a door they can’t close, and their idea was the apply duct tape instead of just expand support specs to existing classes.
Well in SOD at least roles are more or less roles. In retail we have 4 “kinda” roles now, aug isn’t really dps it is like .8 dps + .2 heals + .2 tanks. Then because of dps offhealing imbalance you have some dps that are like 1 dps + .5 heals when it matters and others that are like 1dps + 0.02 heals all the time. Then you have some tanks that are like 1 tank + 0.3 heals or like 1 tank + 0.3 dps + cc of a tank and 2 dps
