All roles seem to be getting worked over by RNG, but for melee DPS specifically we haven’t seen any CTSs, only one Maladath and one DFT. It’s almost been four months and Chromag only seems to drop those stupid taut dragonhide shoulders.
To top is off, it feels like we’re the only guild that doesn’t have a TF.
Ugh, idk, as a salty human warrior with no MH sword still (oh yeah, two viskag since release) I just want to know if others are feeling our (my) pain.
I swear the loot tables are decided by which day of the week you raid, or at least partially. We started same night and time like clockwork we’d see the same loot week after week after week damn near identical and we’d for whatever reason end up raiding on a different day of the week and see all kinds of stuff we hadn’t seen.
We’ve barely seen any Onslaughts at all, didn’t see a single caut band for 5 months, 1 cruul, 1 BRE.
Yes it’s rough for some people out there.
RNG is rough, my guild has had no bindings despite clearing MC at least 30 or so times.
0 DFTs, only 1 Mala.
Our first 3 months of MC, we had no melee drops at all (I took no loot from our first 6-7 MC clears as a fury warrior, there isn’t much but we saw very few drops even then).
But we’ve actually gotten really lucky the past 2-3 months with Onslaught Girdles and Chromag Boots, gotten 6 of each over a 3 month time frame as well as a 5 Striker’s Marks.
So these things come and go, I’m sure we’ll see some DFTs in a row at some point, just got to keep clearing and be patient.
Back at the beginning my guild went like 3 or 4 months without seeing a single aurastone hammer or sorceress dagger but we got showered in mageblades
Since blackwing layer we have gotten zero red dragonscale protectors and zero claw of chromagus but we have gotten 4 lokamirs 4 ashkandis and a couple tears, dfts, maladaths and shadowflames sprinkled in
It’s been good overall, but it is kinda annoying when those random “low tier” drops just won’t drop despite them being so common supposedly
I think every guild has items they flat out don’t get and items they do, its rarely a spread, for us running two raids the items that avoid us in specific is ToEP, we haven’t seen one in either raid since around christmas and BRE which we’ve only seen one of in 65 or so clears.
On the other hand, we’ve seen ridiculous amounts of specific high tier items, so far we’ve seen nelth’s tear at a 50% drop rate and 9 bindings in total.
We seemed to have different drops when having different characters be raid lead and the first to enter. With one raid leader we seemed to get tier for pallies, druids and warlocks, With a another it would be priests, mages and warriors. Not just one time, but week after week. So we started switching it up on a regular basis and seen a lot of variety in drops. It might just be coincidence, but worth trying.
The human brain is so weak that when confronted with something it doesn’t comprehend it will start creating scenarios to make itself feel better. It’s just math. Your feelings and intuition have no place here.
“We seemed to have different drops when having different characters be raid lead and the first to enter.”
“I swear the loot tables are decided by which day of the week you raid, or at least partially.”
The warlocks have started throwing themselves onto the rock that leads to MC every raid. So far it hasn’t helped, but that doesn’t stop them from trying.
There is no such thing as RNG, it’s a predetermined string of numbers dictated by an algorithm and a seed value. It’s actually possible for the seed value to be tied to the raid leader of first to zone in or even the hour of the day. Possibly even a combo of components generates the seed value.
We’ve had 1 CTS 1 Mala 2 Viskag 1claw of chromag 1 staff of shadow flame and 1 lokamir. We did, finally last month, get a TF.
But yeah 16 bwl clears later and we’ve acquired 4 weapons total. feels good. Ooo, 2 DFT so far tho!!! =\
