All I’ve done since Shadowlands came out is level alts . . . though the story mode. I think I’m up to five 60s? And all five have done exactly jack when it comes to level cap stuff. So, I have five 60s in greens and they’re how many weeks behind on renown and anima and rep and etc. and etc. now? Two? Three? And, to add to the stupid, I’m so burned out on doing the same content over and over (and over) I don’t even have any interest in doing the stuff I haven’t done yet.
And even though I know all this is dumb, and I’m dumb, I’m thinking of leveling another alt instead of picking one of my 60s and actually progressing. 
So, anyone else as dumb as me?

Nope. All I’ve done on alts is the intro to pick their covenants.
As a casual, I’m kind of at a loss of what Blizzard expects me to do in this expansion. I’ve got my Callings, the Maw, and Torghast, which is like a few hours a week…so I’ve only played a few hours a week…

I’m just doing old achieves now. My alts can do 200 dailies in Tol Barad every day to make progress toward the 15k dailies achieve that gets my new characters in my guild a guild standard. We’re 189k/200k gold looted from mobs. I have 1070 guild achievement points.
Pretty annoying though that they removed guild rep from doing bgs, so I’ll have to stop my xp and do quests to get exalted, so I can go back to working on the Conqueror title.

Yep, sign me up, please. I keep logging on to my main in Revendreth (sp), and logging right back out. I don’t understand it, either.
So I’m leveling an alt in WoD. Some people hate it, but I like that expansion, and I never have seen it all.

I have 2 60’s and I kinda just wanna level different classes. Kinda bleh of daily stuff atm and I miss old dungeons.

I ditched my main halfway through the main campaign to play this hunter instead, but all she’s done so far is tame new pets, rearrange her stables, and hang around in Ardenweald essentially as a couch potato. Sometimes she sits on a lily pad in the middle of the lake to fish (lazily).

Maybe this is about what I was thinking earlier, the difference between relaxing game play, and exciting game play. SL is not relaxing to me, yet. In a way I almost wish 25% dev effort went into dropping new stuff onto old maps.

I’m advancing 3 different 60s, and my hunter, my newest character, was the first to get a useful memory and someone had a 210 helm for 190 prices, so now I just need to get over the “Surprise, it’s 2k soul ash to runecarve” hump, that I wasn’t expecting.
But my other chars are getting there. Memories just aren’t dropping for me.

I’ve leveled 6 alts through story mode and one through theads of fate. Doing max level stuff on only my main, but keeping up with renown on 3 alts too, so I can do all 4 campaigns.

I’ve switched covenants 3 times. But i think ima stick with this one. The dredgers were the deciding factor

I’d suggest switching over to Threads of Fate. Nothing dumb about leveling alts–play the game how you want to. But if you’re burning yourself out, maybe the other route would add more variety.

That’s not dumb, the expansion is just boring. I’ve gotten two characters to 60, never picked a covenant and have no desire to play at all.

Ive only hit 60 once and don’t plan on playing a second character any time soon.
I guess making alts at the cost of end game progression is fine though as long as you’re having fun.

No. But I am on alt #3 who should hit 60 before the week is up. My other two are both Maldraxxus and are both up to date on renown.
