Anybody remember when

I love LFD lets talk about how great it was ok?

Do you remember when…

You queued as a dps for LFD and waited for 45 minutes on average to over an hour and a half during off peak hours?

You used LFD and got into a heroic and it was Oculus and the tank and healer left instantly leaving the three dps to figure it out?

You used LFD killed that boss and the tank got a piece of gear and then left the group leaving the rest of you to wait in queue for another one?

… and then the healer quit the same group because it was taking too long for the next tank?

… and then a tank joined the group … and left because it wasn’t a fresh run and they needed that same piece of gear?

Or how about the time you queued for LFD and got into a run and that one player needed on the piece of gear you wanted so they could keep it and vendor / shard it?

What about that time when you got into the dungeon and wiped once on the first boss and the tank dropped from the group… and then the healer… and you waited for a half hour for replacements?

How about the time you got into a group and it was 4 people from the same guild and they all decided to troll you with the vote to kick feature before you can finish the last boss? and then you got to sit in Dalaran waiting for the debuff to fade off?

Does anybody remember the “GO GO GO” guy? Yeah I missed him.

LFD totally was awesome and there was never any downsides to it. I couldn’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t want it back. I hope they bring it back.

Hope you all have a great day! Thanks for reading

Sorry the truth hurts guys.

I literally had most of this stuff happen to me this month in TBC. I’m not exaggerating.

There absolutely were downsides to it, nobody that I have seen said it was perfect. The point is that it’s better than the current system and the players want it.

No, I was a troll shaman dps in Wrath and averaged sub 10 minute queues.

Dungeon finder as a system is fine. The cross-realm part is the issue. But I’d take a few extra minutes in a queue to preserve the server community.

Remember when you spent the same amount of time shouting for a party and never got the invite? Remember when you didn’t have a job and had extra time to waste “adventuring”? Remember when you didn’t have a family and extra things to do instead of gaming. Yeah, I remember when. Glad you do too.

All these people talking about making friends and community wouldn’t even need LFD if they actually engage the community. Go join a guild and run with your friends.

Whatup fanboi how you doing? Did you still want me to sign your Devout shoulders?

The devs seem to forget most of their player base have families and jobs now.

expressing my anger at the devs

IF you’re implying my brief stay here in the forums and wow in general then you would be right. I only came back for wrath and now I have to leave again. But keep trolling its probably all you have

Then go play candy crush, WoW classic is a time sink and if you don’t have time to play then there is always retail or other games, so sick of the dad dad excuse of I have a life And should be able to skip the grind and collect my gear

If by trolling you mean attempting to engage in civil rational discussion then yes I will gladly continue.

you’re right. I don’t have the time to play. You can gather round with your classic buddies and pat yourselves on the backs for how inclusive and welcoming you are

Add LFD, don’t allow cross realm.

There you go. Now every single thing you just said can happen the exact same way it happens in game now, except DPS don’t have to spam LFG for 3 hours, instead they can do something else while waiting for a group.

but it won’t. These devs are so full of themselves. They feel they can’t do anything wrong. It won’t change
