That is just the option to collapse the buff list. I don’t think you can remove that.
If you didn’t have it previously, were you using an addon that updated your UI?

well i am using the Classic UI addon. honestly thought there was an option to disable that arrow.
i did disable the addon in question to see if there was any differences, but there’s not. but i just remembered the arrow was removed with the Classic Frames addon. though i think it conflicts with some things (I.E. using 10 blindweed stems to make 1 blindweed, etc)
i disabled that and it brought the arrow back without me even realizing it. my bad.
