– from a character that someone never plays, but from an account that’s still active?
Like, is there any way to contact this other player to ask for the name? I’ve checked the armory and they haven’t logged in on this character in so long that they’re still using pre-update worgen models (patch 8.2.5), but their account is still active since I can see that character on the armory and not the 404 page.
If you can find the main toon online yes you can see if there willing to delete it but its a 30d cooldown before it becomes active also blizzard wont step in unless the accounts been inactive for 2 expansions and thats a automated process.
I have no idea who this person’s main character is, unfortunately, only this alt who has the name I’d like to claim.
I suppose I can make due with something similar sounding but I wanted to move a character from another realm, and was hoping to keep the name when I got them to Wyrmrest Accord.
Have you tried asking in trade chat in WRA to see if u could track them down.
Seems like an idea, though I wager they went to another realm if they left their alt untouched that long. It’s worth a shot.
