This 16gb patch hasn’t started yet for me and I would like it to happen today since my internet speed is slow and this will take awhile to download.

Do you have the BDA set to download pre patch data?
What is BDA - I made sure to reset my app updating settings to default just in case something got changed and no difference.
Battlenet Desktop App (formal name of the launcher)
Go to the launcher’s Settings>Game Install/Update
Near the bottom of the tab is “Apply latest updates and future patch data”. Select that option and click Done. If it doesn’t start up in a few moments, try completely closing the launcher for a few mins, then reopening it.
That’s already been checked and tried.
Do they have some sort of schedule for these, i.e. do they push them all for all areas the same day ?
It is starting on my other pc which I just turned on after having it off for over a month so we shall see how long it takes - maybe it just snuck in there when I was afk - it is less than 14gb for me though. Nah, this is going very slow I would have noticed if it had happened on this pc - it will probably be over 6 hours.
I went to get something to eat and when I came back the ‘download’ was finished - it isn’t reasonable for it to download in that time if it was a 14 gb download.
Now my question is how can you tell if it has downloaded ?
So I looked into it and it turns out that there’s no hints anywhere that would indicate that it’s been dl’d.
The TS rep I spoke to believes that if it’s not dl’ing for you, it likely already did. Perhaps in the back ground while you were playing the game. Also, it’s made available to everyone at once, so by now, everyone has had the opportunity to dl it.
Say do you play with the PTR?
There was a post I saw in CS the other day mentioning those that have an up-to-date PTR game install will have a shorter install time.
I had a download from the PTR which I had paused on that other machine and when I started it up it also said 13.8gb to download but I sat and watched it and what happened after it started - there was a bunch of ‘copying’ files rather than downloading them and that just zipped through.
Lol and as I was typing this I see Itsuki’s post - yes I had the PTR downloaded on both machines. So that’s it.
