Any non jaja/afk/low parse guilds on Benediction?

Looking to join a raid group that is actually progressing and downing bosses weekly. Really tired of carrying heals for a group that has players going AFK, or simply rage quitting during raid then coming up with elaborate excuses on why to disappear without even a notice time and time again. It seems every guild I get into is infected with these players that pull bottom dps or heals while having 5500-5900GS levels.

I really don’t want to do GDKP raids, I have zero interest in being a credit card gamer and I don’t want to join your SR runs with BOEs HR. I want a real, guild community like atmosphere where people are actually working together towards a common goal, not going AFK as soon as raid starts or signing up weekly but never showing up on time or not at all… Do good guilds still exist and what does it take to get in?

I’m willing to transfer realms too. Going to Benediction seems like it was a huge mistake.

Ahh a Unicorn…

Well they do exist but the good ones downed Heroic Lich King a few weeks ago and the average ones don’t need YOU…

Looks like you’re stuck! Have fun!

well if you ever change your mind about SRs with BoEs HRd < signature > does an alt run every saturday @ 8 pm server. I’d love to share the BoEs but it’s been a lot more helpful to reserve them so I can give them to static players or sell it so we can craft gear for static players :^)

I’ve always had good luck with guilds by knowing someone, playing a class the guild is looking for, and then somehow or another performing that role adequately. I’ve also been dropped from a guild for playing a class that wasn’t needed that I did not play particularly well and I also didn’t know the mechanics for an important fight on the one night we had to progress that week.

Its called GDKP and the cancer of WoW

Well you have to be good to be invited lol. If people aren’t swarming you with invites maybe you’re the bot

Lol, I think players like the OP here have this misconception…

No one owes you anything. You work for what you get in life including relationships… Including guild invites and later getting into the actual Raids.

What OP wants in his mind doesn’t actually exist. It’s a Guild with a better version of himself playing every role in the raid and they cheer him on as he produces what he believes is BD DPS…

Way off target there buckaroo

Finding a guild on Benediction that has a consistent roster that doesn’t consist of people who go AFK after confirming ready checks is really hard. I’m 5 weeks into trying to get some ICC progression done and been hard stuck 6/12 normals. Finally started being stricter about the groups I join and made some headway. Got 8/12 down last night on 25m.

The GDKPs are worse. I joined a togc 25m gdkp today and saw 5600-5800GS people go AFK at boss pull. One guy even verbally said im here on disc then disappeared.

I’m playing Disc Priest right now at 5.8k GS and even when spamming Gammas people go AFK as soon as they zone in. It’s ridiculous the amount of people expecting a free ride on this game.

Not to mention the people at 4200 GS in full PVP gear doing bottom dps in Gammas. I’ll take my 30minute wait debuff and go play an alt before I carry that crap.

Fair enough… but Benediction is the biggest community by far? Just keep looking for your peeps…

I thought I was the only one who called’em jaja’s.

Gonna be real here. I thought Gbids were a horrid idea too.

Consider me a convert though. Granting no loot system will ever be perfect, the ability to buy what you want is nice. If you lose the bid, then you make more money to get a crack at the next one.

You can go round and round about drop rates, BiS vs benefit of spec etc, but the Gbid way has had zero loot drama compared to any other WoW experience since OG Vanilla through modern retail.

Maybe it’s hard to break into them? That could be a problem. But so is getting into a guild killing ICC on Heroic for many people.

pluses and minuses abound for both, but the Gbid is pretty darn clean.

im guessing your best bet is looking for an older guild that requires logs. a lot of people came back for icc, so there are a lot of new guilds. if you need more than the convince of getting a spot every week you should start fighting for one.

though, as a recruiter for one of the newer guilds, i can say with confidence thats it’s people with OPs attitude who will be wiping you on blood quarter, sindi and LK. good luck to all lmfao.

I’d say post on main so we can see your logs and just how many 5900GS healers and dps you are carrying.

My guess from this post is you have bad logs, good groups don’t want you, so you are stuck doing runs with other 0-20 parsing players then complaining about said players. But that’s just me.

I love how most replies completely missed the point, in fact you can tell some are mad for some reasons.

OP your best chances are looking at the top ~20 guild on the server and try joining one of them but make sure you’re well geared/enchanted/gemmed and have decent logs. However if you can’t yourself reach what you hope for in this game, you probably don’t belong.

Low chance, almost the whole server is a cesspit of 3AM waffle house dumpsters with 8 thumbs and broken dreams.
