Let’s be clear here, the anti-LFD group isn’t the ones having a hard time finding groups- they have their high skill guildies that have no problems farming raids and parsing in the top percents.
The reason they oppose LFD so much is because if it comes out and becomes the way they have to fill out their 4th and 5th slots, they might occasionally have to spend 20 minutes playing with people like me, whom they DESPISE.
You only have to read a few posts here to learn what the “the community” thinks of people who need a few seconds to move out of fire or parse in the bottom third, as if that even matters in 5-mans. They say it’s about the community the same way it’s about community to get sponsored at a country club.
It’s not about saying hi and adding people to friends lists , it’s about making sure the untouchable filthy casuals who are beneath them NEVER EVER have any way of getting within 100 feet without first linking epic parse logs for a fel 5-man 20 minute daily badge run.
Sorry to stink up the joint.

Why is your self esteem so low?

So you think the only reason people are against LFD is because they don’t want to play with YOU personally?

I’m trying to stay out of these topics but whatever. Question - do you actually like getting placed in a group of 4 people who consider themselves “elite”? Some of my WORST memories of RDF are getting in these groups and getting trash-talked even though I was doing fine, and even booted on occasion. Basically, if I saw 3-4 guildies at the start of the run there was this “oh great this again” feeling. I preferred just being with 4 other randoms.
This is part of why I sought out just doing guild or friend groups as much as possible and I enjoyed that very much, but those RDF groups with the others who thought they were the best players in the world were the worst, it would have been better to not do the dungeons at all.

for real, these cliques that play til 5 am everyday doing gdkp everything and gossiping in a server disc are the only people who dont want this lol.

I wouldn’t, but these are the vast minority of groups. I prefer 1-2 bad and 8-9 good runs in an evening to the 1-3 goods run I manage without LFD.

Fair enough, I get why you want the RDF feature. Sorry that you’re having trouble finding groups right now.
My attitude when someone says “We don’t want to play with you” isn’t “LOL, now you have to!” but more “Yep I hate arrogant people and want nothing to do with you either. Ever” and then I hope to never see them again.

1-In wrath-C Some guilds will have arrange groups to run dungeons non stop to level & farm gear (they don’t care if lfd exist or not cus they doesn’t group with random to began with, but if they are anti lfd? it means they just want to you guildless people suffer)
2-selfish people who hate lfd because it will give fair chance for everyone at certain degree, those no lifers don’t want those filthy casual to have anything at all.
3-people who want to pug certain setups or reserve items or avoid same class (they trying to pug while taking the game seriously what a joke)
4-people who want to form a group from chat then spam dungeon with same group (they think if LFD exist it will prevent them from doing that, they don’t care about anyone but themselves.)
5-people who want to level questing but afraid that lfd will make everyone go dungeon and non will quest with him/her.
6- people who don’t want you to do anything while trying to get a dungeon, they want you to stress your eyes reading all the spam chat.
7-people who want you to only play meta-class so they can fill their groups/guilds with those classes only, if such an option called LFG existed it will allow many people to play and lvl what they wants, there was a reason why everyone in classic & tbcc was insulting non-meta class players in past 2years.
8-people who claim that lfd will kill the world when the world is already empty & cold cus of layers.
9-people who don’t want you to level any alt without paying them gold so they boost you.
10-people who don’t want you to enter any dungeon without paying a price, if to waste hours or to join them so they can reserve anything they wants or take every green/unneeded blue.
for me? i think that Anti-LFD are all abusers or ignorant.

I have memories of when LFD launched and it was great being able to queue for dungeons anywhere and be teleported to them, worry about finding the entrance later or ever. Fast forward to Cataclysm and oh boy… things went downhill fast, people left the group for minimal inconveniences, vote kicked people for the same reasons. There was no communication just kill the bosses and go, maybe the occasional “I have X quest” and you’d get it done. Honestly LFD brought some good QOL convenience but it also brought some heavy downsides that affect the game to this day in retail.

I’ve seen you be pretty hypocritical and frankly just rude to people on some threads today but haven’t called you out to stay out of the threads. It’s not clear what your problem is.
I don’t feel bad for replying either, my question was honest and I told the OP that I understand why he wants RDF.
an essay that can be boiled down to NO U
Yeah, nah. Not how this works cupcake.
Anger is one of the seven stages of grief.
nah my guild loves to min/max and everyone its pro rdf, the ones aganist are those RPers that came in here with this “muh community” BS while playing on a 30k mega server

I’m flagging your troll posts from now on, this is my last reply to you.
Same though. You just can’t help yourself.
No matter how bad a RDF group was it was always better than not doing the dungeon at all.
No matter how bad a pug was I never put anyone on my ignore list. Doing a dungeon with a bad pug was better than not doing the dungeon at all. I guess it all comes down to how much you want to do dungeons and how much crp you’re willing to put up with to do them. I really want to do dungeons, they’re my favorite part of the game, and I’ll put up with all sorts of crp to do them.

That’s why I was asking. I respect that some people can put up with this. Thinking back I remember a couple of times when I just left the dungeons because dealing with jerks was just not worth it to me.
That’s not me saying that I hated the RDF dungeons, they were usually fine, and some random guild groups, etc were really smooth to run with, but there are certain types of people I just can’t stand and the dungeons are just not fun enough to me to where it’s worth dealing with people I don’t like. I understand your perspective too though. Thank you for explaining.

I did that once in a BC pug and I’ve had a few pugs where I considered it long and hard. But even then I didn’t put that tank on my ignore list. I’d remember their names for a while and avoid them but soon I’d forget. I don’t play with the same people often enough in pugs to hold grudges. The odds are I’ll never see them again anyway.

If they have a problem, then they just shouldn’t PUG. I hate pugging because many of the players are just so bad. But I am smart enough to understand how beneficial RDF will be for others, so thats why I think it should be in the game as an option. Yet players call me toxic for thinking about the little guy…
