Google is a useful tool in case you forgot what common sense is, or if you need evidence for if the sky is blue and the pope is catholic.

That’s an interesting analogy however it is not relevant to the matter at hand, as seen above.
I was going out of my way to show how sampling can skew a survey, as I wasn’t sure whether you knew what I meant.
The dual spec surveys do not have correct sampling. They are not authoritative.

I know, but that’s irrelevant towards the matter of TBC dual spec polls. As there have been dozens of dozens across twitter accounts of varying type and subreddits, and the conclusion is the same: pro dual spec is the majority opinion.
I’m sorry there isn’t a Dream speedrun investigation level polls with perfect use of the scientific method. There never will be. The evidence we have reliably suggests that anti Dual Spec is the minority of players.

To anyone who wants to use the phrase “authenticity” as an argument do the following:
- go uninstall WeakAuras
- throttle your internet so it’s 1mb down and increase your ping to 500+
- Uninstall Discord and use either Vent/Teamspeak for coms for raids
- Build a PC that literally meets the minimum requirements for the game to run
There’s your authentic TBC experience.
I think it was obvious to almost everyone reading the original post that it was just that person’s opinion.
Again, that’s still not how sampling works. Taking multiple polls with incorrect sampling does not “balance them out”, it just compounds error.
It would make the debate a lot simpler. Blizzard could easily orchestrate this themselves, they conduct polls like that all the time.

I would love if blizzard did this, however until they have, the current limited evidence we have is that anti dual spec is a minority of players. Nitpicking about unspecified “sampling errors” aka putting a poll on a public website with little incidence of bias.
Unless you can prove that there is significance bias that hampers the reliability of every single poll, to which there are dozens ,the evidence is clear in favor of Dual Spec.
I don’t need to prove that. I can demonstrate that the sampling is wrong and, categorically, you cannot trust the results of a survey with incorrect sampling.
The results could still be right. But all we can do right now is speculate based on incomplete evidence. You can’t demonstrate anything.

That’s not true. Incorrect sampling means the poll isn’t authoritative. But it isn’t necessarily skewed. The poll by chance could be 100% correct, or 100% wrong or any position in between. But since I consider what people post here opinions I don’t think you’re claiming objective superiority. I think you just made a mistake.

Are you actually just that insecure to be proven wrong on the internet? I certainly didn’t care until you started making a big deal about how much better you performed on the SATs compared to the newer generations. Now it’s just funny to watch you smear egg on your face.
