Another week with no restore character feature added back

will this feature be added back quietly? will it be announced via weekly maintenance? or is this such a big dev issue that it will not be added until a new patch goes live? there needs to be an answer.

THe blues here have no knowledge of when it will be restored.

thats cool and all, but they need to do some digging and find out

See the thing about ETA is players forget the E stands for estimated and will go nuclear if its missed.

You’ll find out when the devs make that call. They’re not going to tell us anything before the devs are ready and able.

I appreciate your replies, but looking for a CS response, not random people.

There gona tell u the same thing. They also find out the same time we do.

That’s simply not going to happen. Unfortunately, many players forget what the E in ETA stands for and think it means “exactly” instead of “Estimated”.

Once it is brought back, I’m sure that they’ll let us know or it will be in the patch notes.

Um, the CS forums are supported by the players, and most of the times, are correct before a Blue chimes in. In this case, the players are right.

we havent received an estimate, so theres no expectation to hold them to this “exactly”.

the only expectation was the feature never go away in the first place and to release the expansion without needing to remove features.

i was told on a ticket they do not know when it was going to be implemented again but expect it to be available “very soon”. if they dont know, how can they say very soon? if its very soon, what is their estimate? i dont really care if the blues “dont know”. they work for blizzard, they need to do their job and get an answer. and theres no defending it, work within your company to get an answer out to your PAYING customers.

Digging or not, the developers may refuse to give the information to CS. Or, if the developers do give it, they may not allow it to be made public. There’s all sorts possible reasons why CS can’t/won’t disclose the information you want.

There’s been several here since the problem started.

A paying customer doesn’t mean they have rights or privileges to any internal information they want.

Well, seeing as the undelete feature is a perk, not something you pay for, it isn’t something they’re required to do. More to the point, the devs are under no obligation to reply back to the CS team if they don’t want to or have anything to report.

Correct. And we’re not going to despite you wanting one.

They gave an answer. There’s no ETA. That’s the answer

Funny how giving you correct information is of no value. You’re literally asking for something that they can’t give you. Here it is in Blue. That’s your answer until we hear otherwise.

So all this was after you already were given a blue answer?

I deleted my post because I realized the link was from a post by the op.

More of a “Are we there yet?”.

Very Soon™

Another common term implemented by Blizzard often misleading players into excitement for future content. “Very Soon™” is guaranteed to arrive between now and the end of time with a higher chance of arriving on the “now” half of the time table. Although this means closer to now than “soon” there is no guarantee that you will live long enough to see the content finally release.

Now ←----------- Very Soon™ -------- Soon (Not Soon™) -------- Soon™ -------- Soon-ish™ --------→ End of Time

This forum is an Information Desk to help people navigate the Support system, explain policies, explain services, etc. It is largely “staffed” by volunteers who help other players. Blues drop in when they are available to ensure info is correct based on what is currently known.

So you already got a CS reply with the current information that is being publicly released.

Soon means they don’t have it scheduled for years out, but that they don’t have the information to tell you when it will happen.

Your answer has been provided by CS and there is nothing to gain with this post besides baiting arguments it seems.

Their job is to answer with the current information they are given. Their job is NOT to interrogate Devs when you want them to. There is an entire system of communication set up between departments. You will find out when everyone else finds out about the feature status and restoration.
