“Veilstrider” as a concept was a good idea for a title as it showed that you did complete the current expansion (Shadowlands for Veilstrider). You saw all the stories. You grinded all the reps. You did all the things, and I think a new “Strider” style title would be a good idea for Dragonflight.
The only thing is instead of removing the title completely when the next expansion comes out, they change the achievement to give a different title. You have the “Strider” style of title for doing what it asks when the content is current and “difficult” and then a seperate title for doing the same things but when its easier.
It wouod encourage people to go back and do old content while also encouraging people to try and do current content. It seems like a win-win.
There are still a lot of titles you get in the process of having done Veilstrider, and those are still in the game. The head scratcher is why was Maw Walker not the meta title? You can still get that one, by the way.
I would wager there are a good handful of titles that can be got if they did the dragonflight equivalent, four for each renown plus dragonflying race titles.
They would yes. So for shadowlands they would have Veilstrider and then when the 2nd achievement replaced the other one they would have the other title as well. The achievement for Veilatrider would become a Feat of Strenth so they didnt lose the 1st title.
And yeah, I remember the blownup over the Stitchworks RNG. Two of my friends got screwed out of the title because of it and my wife almost did.
I mean don’t wait too long to do it too. But I do agree that compared to all the other covenant achieves, the stitchflesh one was too much. Should have just been get all the abominations.
I’m also sure there’s going to be a DF version of veilstrider since there was one in bfa too. I’ve been doing achieves that I think will be part of it.
No it wasn’t. There’s no reason to delete a title achievement because someone wasn’t there. It’s just a title for doing all the content. It’s not a challenge mode. They removed an incentive to go back and complete all of that content later. It was a poor choice. So was never actually telling anyone officially until the last minute that it definitely was being removed.

Did you even read the rest of my post? I specifically asked for two versions of the same title, one for doing the content when it was current and another for after the expansion js no longer current.
I prefer it that way. Maw walker sounds cooler and more fitting for the expansion. I’d go out of my way to get that if it was going away. When I heard “Veilstrider” was going away I was like “I wouldn’t use that title anyway” makes me feel like I’m a waterwalk mount lol …
Also Azeroth’s Champion was better.
