Another upcoming Class Tuning without mentions to Brewmaster

Dear Blizzard, can we have a buff/mention that our situation in Mythic+ is being looked upon? Thank you.

But by everyone above 130 IQ score.

Yeah, of course. Brewmasters hold 88 positions of the top 100 tanks. It is too OP!

i’d agree with you, but i have’nt done group content this expansion, so i can’t weigh-in one-way or the other.

closest i’ve done is follower dungeons on my BM monk. for regular dungeons? feels balanced. don’t think it’d do good in raids/m+ though.

Raids? Maybe. M+? Not even close.

Don’t forget WW Monks. Brewmaster is forgotten. However, WW Monk doesn’t exist.

Here is the thing. I have all specs at lvl 70. WW Monk, to me, is the most fun spec to play hands down.

Yet the lack of love it gets is a complete joke. If they made their best following/playable spec competitive others would come enjoy the game play too.

Buff WW Monk. Please it’s about time we some dev attention.

If you look at parses, you can see that WW monks are always in the middle of the pack. So if you ask for a buff, they going to say you don’t need buffs.

But here’s the thing: As the MDI teams said after monks nerfs in Shadowlands Season 3, if WW monks aren’t the best DPS, then there are no reason to carry them in dungeons, because a single rallying cry from a warrior has more utility than the whole monk kit.

We just have no value, so this means that if we aren’t one of the best performers, we don’t have a chance to perform at all.

If Brewmaster isn’t the best tank to withstand damage, why would you ever take a brewmaster? If WW monk has mid DPS, why would you take one instead of a second shaman?

You’ll have to excuse cromagnon… this is just how he responds.

So what you’re saying is we need a buff?

I was a very successful salesmen when I used to work. So successful I haven’t worked since I was 30. That’s not the point. The point is, there are ways to say things, sell it if you will. So instead of saying, yeah it’s okay, we are mid pack, with okay utility, yes we are happy with mediocrity and passable development, like most voices for our class. I am calling for them to finally give us our extended day in the sun.

I am sick to death of the soft touch. Sick of the, yes we are mediocre, but it falls in line. I want the best spec to play, to be the feature of the game. If WW Monk was a fotm spec, with more take up, you’d have more enjoying the game, rather then the majority turning to boring 3 button specs.

That’s not me having a go at you so please don’t take it that way. I get your point.

Yeah I’m just about done with Monk. I did get my Seasonal goals done for them atleast.

Yes.

Or, we need to provide utility. Otherwise, its going to be a dead class as always.

The Brewmaster dev is always too drunk as a badger to do anything.

looking back at all the m+ seasons brew has pretty much never been meta, they had one season where they were the most popular, but never a season where they just flat out dominated the top 100 like every other tank has. IIRC they were popular for people doing mega pulls because they could hit crazy high damage with their aoe…

At any rate they’re the least represented tank right now at high levels, but tbh blood is right down there with them.

The thing is that, even if blood now is in a dead point with us, they still have a reason to choose upon blood dk over brew in a lot of dungeons.

Well that may be true but neither of us are getting played much at high levels :man_shrugging:

Which makes me sad because, although I would love buffs so I can finally push some 13-14 without worrying about too much of the min-max stuff, I can only see brewmaster being used in the higher level keys if they get a entirely new utility skill.

Just being a strong tank isn’t enough to compete with Rallying Cry, Immunities and Innervate.

5% physical damage is pretty solid, cc for days, it’s not all that bad, to me we’re just slightly too squishy, and the most impacted by healing nerfs. Celestial brew could use a complete rework, it feel like you’re either dead or popping small shields all the time.
