All because someone he was arguing with had his guild mass report him…
Classic is already a dumpster fire its really a spit in the face that this is still a thing…

You can go into the game right now and get just a handful of guildies to report someone anyone and they will be banned.

I first thought you were wrong about the report stuff, but given how long it’s been taking them to ban bots, I think you are on to something. I stood in ironforge and reported well over 100 bots that come through there on the black rock spire run, and have yet to see it slow down at all or receive the “Ty” mail from blizzard. I do think whoever does chat moderation keeps up better, at least it seems that way.
Its a automated system that needs more than 1 person doing said reports
So then why dont any of these “guilds” start reporting bots

The squelch (automated chat mute) has been in the game since May of 2007, Blizzard has never once denied this. There is no automated ban from right-click player reports. Why would Blizzard implement a system that only seems to trigger when groups of players conspire to abuse the system and ban innocent players or when a streamer wants to make a video for some $$$?
Why has no one ever seen a bot get banned from their report? If it takes a handful of people reporting to “auto-ban” someone, why has there NEVER been a video of bots getting banned like this? Hundreds of thousands of people playing the game weekly and no one has ever been that final report on a bot to ban it.
It’s actually a little concerning how quick people are to jump on a conspiracy theory without using an iota of critical thinking.
Yeah, if people actually think about it, they’d understand just how absurd the idea is. This community believes that Blizzard has given every player a portion of the power required to ban whoever they want, whenever they want? This community believes that a multiboxer has GM banning powers? Where’s the discord communities set up to police servers? Where’s the videos of bots being banned? Why is it always the same one or two videos being linked that “proves” the auto-ban system?
People just need to think a tiny, tiny bit.

Botting would only be an issue if one magical day botters could farm Ulduar.
now raid is soiled and defiled. then it be a problem.
retail side we have seen entire raids game wide killed when a WFR stream shows a glitched boss. literally almost instantly every single instance was killed on the spot.

I had a blast in a turtle from hell AV that ended only with…the server shutdown lol. once people realize you aren’t a dk bot and you actually grip better targets (way too many dk’s grip crap targets,I know that)…its gets better for a real dk.
