I wasnt able to log on yesterday but I did read about all the bugs r/t the anniversary gift, so this morning I got on my main and opened the mail. I got the wow buff and some fireworks no invite to TW festivities. I went to 4 other 120s and non got it. But my 70 druid got the invite and of coarse, is too low a level to participate. I logged on to 6 different toons and only 1 got the invite. Finally I went on my lvl 5 bank toon and he got the "Happy Anniversary’ achieve, mind you hes an old toon and has active for years. Now why would he get it and not the 6 others I logged into first? Weird
And what happens if your only characters are level 1-29. Said breadcrumb quest cannot be accepted. Which means some people will have no idea there even is anything aside from the gift in the mail.

the originals quest can’t be accepted until level 30, so… what’s the issue?

Except this is obvious copy paste from last year and not at all adapted for the recent prepatch which rehauled world content to lvl 10 streamlined across the board…

I think Blizz did a poor job at not making this clear, as many of us rather perceived it as a bug, leaving people unnecessarily slightly upset over it.
If it’s just a breadcrumb quest that doesn’t even reward XP or gold, they should’ve just gave away the quest to every single player who opened the box.

the world bosses weren’t available to characters of all levels last year, why would that change?
I think some intern copy/pasted this line from 2 years ago, as the two anniversary daily quests were conveniently available in Orgrimmar /Stormwind up until that point - being forced to go all the way down to Caverns of Time only started last year.
We get it Blizz, you wanted to make the 15th anniversary feel special.
You can now revert the anniversary quest NPC location back to where it was before, and not alllllll the way down the cave - that way, you guys can keep on recycling the anniversary announcement article from years ago without backlash, it’s a win/win.

well… it also says:
Players who participate in Korrak’s Revenge and complete the Alterac Valley of Olde achievement can earn two new mounts: the Stormpike Battle Ram (Alliance) and the Frostwolf Snarler (Horde).
there are no new mounts

Yeah, I noticed the same. Not every toon got the quest. Like this priest, who has the most achievements, she didn’t get it. But other alts, 50 or lower, that I logged in before and after her, got the quest or quest item.

Are you dense? Because the recent prepatch did a complete OVERHAUL of the leveling/questing experience. You must be oblivious. Literally almost 16 years worth of content opened up even to free to play 20s. Nearly every single outdoor quest is doable at level 10 now. And nearly every mob scales to level
You can go get artifact weapons at level 10 and do all of the pillars of creation quests. For the first few days level 10s could get a heart of Azeroth AND AZERITE GEAR.

Some toons have 2 invites sitting in their bags now. One from this year’s and one from last year’s and can’t start the quest cause they aren’t high enough.
Why give it to chars that can’t even start the quest… Like I’m going to level those toons just to hand it in. 
I did Korrak’s last year but that doesn’t mean others should be prevented from doing it by this cascading series of bugs and missteps. I think we can surmise that there’s someone on staff that is not good at the job they were hired to do.

Strange, I open my gift and it only said see Chromie in caverns of time and that is it no other quest at all. Was there even more to this?
Scaling is broken in Korrak’s asw. It was great for leveling last year, but low levels and sub-ilvl70 max levels only scale to ilvl 70, whereas last year everyone scaled to level 60 and lvl 60 gear ilvl. Its a mythic raider’s playground. Fix scaling issues.

qa don’t come to gd to check for bugs.
that the anniversary event has had historically had issues every year.
blizz aren’t too tight to extend these events when things have gone wrong.
