Anima items.....why?

Should items that you receive not take up bag space as well, just because you’ll vendor the trash in ten minutes when you get to an NPC? After all, it’s taking up your valuable bag space for longer than a milisecond.

How’s that such a big deal anyway?
You still need to turn in your callings, mission table and quest thru the zone.
Just like others said though, RP is a big reason.
You collect it from all around the Shadowlands and you bring it back to your covenant to “restore” it.

If you want to switch covenant, you can start hoarding anima using all the buffs from the current one, so that you don’t have to start from 0 all over again after joining the new one.

Maybe it’s just me, but I like actually clicking the button and seeing the anima reservoir fill up? Especially if I have a whole bunch of items from playing for a while, it makes the “accomplishment” feel more tangible somehow.

It’s a really small thing and I know it’s dumb because there’s no actual difference, but somehow it feels more rewarding when I actually click a button and see it happen in one go vs constantly auto-filling a bar without me noticing.

The amount of bag space they take up can be a little annoying though.

Just another episode in Blizzard’s chronic and ongoing lack of respect for players’ space constraints. Remember all the junk we had to carry around to interact with things in Nazjatar, Mechagon, and N’zoth invasions?

Finding a vendor that is literally scattered all over the world just to sell your grays, or just simply mounting up, pales in comparison.

Like a “wise” person once said, “Comparing Anima tokens to [trash grays]? It’s not even comparable.”

You can keep your button, just give me ability to click on those anima items (They’re supposedly “use” items according to the tooltips anyway) to pull the anima out so that I can store it at a later time without taking up so much damn bag space. Is that too much to ask?

What was “RP” about being able to hold tens of thousands of order/war resources? Seems to me that people are just looking for any excuse to side with Blizzard’s design choices… Heaven forbid they implement crappy systems and have to make changes. It’s a big deal because, unlike everything else, you can’t do anything with it until you go to the one and only place available in the world just to turn it in whereas vendors can be found literally everywhere. It’s a nuisance.

And reaching your Covenant and depositing your Anima is literally a Flight Path destination and 1 minute travel, at worst, away. At best, hearthing directly to. They are very comparable; Hearthstone, vendor trash. The amount of time it takes to do either is very comparable.

Again, you’re ignoring the entire issue. It’s not comparable in the slightest. You can literally vendor anywhere and you’re not required to go anywhere specific to do so, thus it takes much less time. Hearthing puts it on cooldown. If my hearth is set to Oribos, I still need to take the 2min flight to my sanctum and then what? Because my hearth is on CD, there’s no quick way back to where I was so I’m forced to take an even longer flight back. Use my other hearth to Dal or my garrison? It makes no difference because it doesn’t save you any time really. It’s overly tedious when it absolutely doesn’t need to be, it doesn’t matter if you’re fine with wasting time doing such… I’m not and so are many others. You’re just lying to yourself for the sake of argument if you prefer it the way it currently is… Just because Blizz decides to do something one way or another, doesn’t mean people have to accept it as it is.

Heaven forbid you aren’t happy! Suck it up and move on.
Boohoo you have to hold 10 slots of anima in your bags. Get rid of junk then, or get bigger bags. Why do you have to level? Why do you have to level professions? Why do harder content for better gear? Why mounts only 100% and not 300%? Why can’t we have infinite breath under water? Why do we have to pay for leveling services? Why transmog only at NPC and Mount? Why can’t I use Auction everywhere just with a press of SHIFT-A and Tmog with SHIFT-T?
Because its a game! You’re welcome to unsub THE second you want to. No one will miss you.

Seems to me you’re just trying to find lame excuses at this point. Why anyyything at this point. Give us ALL and everything we want! Make game auto run! On its onw! Don’t even have to log in!

If you switch covenants you are not starting from scratch.

Imagine being against removing the clutter

It’s to make you run back to your covenant now and then so you don’t forget it’s there.

Let me just go buy the new larger bags that Blizz added to Tailoring this expansion like they have done in all previous expansions… Oh wait!

You’re arguing semantics. If you hearth back to Oribos, or to your Covenant location, it’s typically because you’re done in that area and you don’t intend to return for a good while. Likewise, if you’re in the middle of doing your World Quests, you’re going to be elsewhere for at least the duration of the cooldown of the Hearthstone that you just used.

Literally, they are comparable. Don’t try to argue this, you will lose.

30m in Bastion doing WQs, hearthstone to ‘x’ location, vendor trash items to the NPC in front of you.
30m in Bastion doing WQs, hearthstone (for instance) directly to Necrolords, dump the ~200 Anima you earned.

If you don’t want to expedite things and instead opt for the “longest path” available to dump your Anima, that’s your fault. Your hearthstone doesn’t have to be set to Oribos, in fact, i’m not sure why anybody would set it to Oribos; The ‘hub’ is lifeless, tacky, dull, uninspiring, boring, and many other things. The only legitimate reason for you to hearthstone there is easier access to the portal of Orgrimmar/Stormwind.

You can literally mount up and sell your crap. You don’t have to hearth or be forced to leave an entire zone just for that. It’s not even close to being the same. Semantics rofl. Not everyone plays like you and has cleared-out bags all the time… People like to gather while they’re out and about too and you can’t, at least you shouldn’t, just vendor the stuff. You assume that people have their hearths set to their sanctum, which ultimately doesn’t matter because you either have to fly there or fly back to where you were regardless. So which part is my fault? Using my hearth to get there and flying back, or flying there then hearthing back? It is no fault of my own that the system is designed in such away, don’t be stupid.

Let’s see, I don’t have the rank 3 teleport system so getting anywhere from Oribos takes 2 mins or less, with the exception of a few places that takes almost 3, whereas it takes much longer to get anywhere from your sanctum partly because everything is tied to Oribos. I guess you just haven’t thought about that though. I mean, “If you don’t want to expedite things and instead opt for the “longest path” available [just] to dump your Anima, that’s your fault.”

I do a lot of M+ and if you do too, you must like flying around everywhere… Or you’re just one of those lazy people that wait around to be summoned because you can’t be bothered to make an attempt to get there yourself.

How the hell do people still have bag space issues? 30 slot bags are cheap as dirt, trade goods stack to 200, you don’t need 3 sets of azerite gear. I mean, I get the bag space complaints in Classic but in retail if you are having issues maybe it’s time to delete those duplicate toys and pets that you have been to lazy to get rid of because you didn’t want to type out the word DELETE for each item.

Saying that the system is fine simply because everyone should play like you and have tons of room in their bags is a pretty poor argument. It’s like Blizz’s response to people’s backlash over Diablo Immortal… “Do you guys not have phones?” Like giving us things we didn’t even ask for and telling us to just deal with it because it’s how they want to do things. It’s ultimately self-defeating when your game/business relies on their players/customers’ satisfaction.

How do you not have bag space issues? I have 144 bag slots, I keep all my crafting materials in the bank, and I still only have 10 slots free at any time.
