I would say around 99% of Wheel of Time readers read most of the books in the series for the first time while being older than 19.
Considering the books were released from 1990 to 2013. It would be nearly impossible otherwise.
If the Hobbit was not a book series released over a period of nearly 30 years. Thats pretty different.

Just because WatchMojo says it is doesnt mean nearly every single library and book store disagrees.
WatchMojo is not the book industry. Its a clickbait youtube channel focused on tv shows/movies.
You could possibly suggest its YA. Young adult.
But you will not find the books in a “teen” section of a bookstore/library. Not even YA.
The INDUSTRY, as you cited, views WoT as normal adult fantasy.
