The cinematic made it pretty clear Thrall got through to him a bit and he is ready to throw hands.
This is literally his entire personality and character though. Has been since MoP.
He’s the Man-boy that cries all the time.
Sure, but being nice and empathetic doesn’t mean you’re weak.
You don’t need to be a hardazz who goes around scowling and grumbling with a gravelly voice to be a man.
I think you could learn a lot from Uncle Iroh.
I’m aware that Anduin is currently in his ‘Abyss of Death and Rebirth’ of his Hero’s Journey, and will built himself back up into a Brave Hero again.
The problem is that at this point I no longer care, and don’t want to watch it happen.
I’ve been burned by Blizzard’s storytelling in general and the character of Anduin in specific to the point that I have no interest in it/them/him anymore.
I want a totally Anduin-free adventure and won’t play one with him in it.
The next time I see Anduin, whether in game or in a cinematic, I want to see him doing what his dad did at the end of the Legion cinematic.
In the west men aren’t allowed to be anything other than autonomous robots that work, sleep, eat then die from stress induced heart failure in their 70s.
Because that’s what real MEN do!
This is a video game about magic, dragons and cosmic demons. Real men in that setting wouldn’t be sitting around talking about their feelings. They’d be kicking butt like Varian.
Tyrande should have been allowed to nuke Sylvanas in Ardenweald and all three characters should have had their story at least partially ended in Shadowlands. Maybe we get a cutscene somewhere in Dragonflight showing that they’re saving souls in the Maw and passing a bottle of Tuica Moonshine between them.
It’s not that they can’t so much that it’s almost always boring to watch and we play this game for a bit of excitement. Game of Thrones could pull off intense and interesting conversations, WoW cannot.
Sounds like OP has some struggles to address.

Its not boring to watch. Legion was hyped as hell. Crowd reactions to that cinematic were insane. People love epic moments in video games themed around epic moments. Chris Metzen made it clear WoW’s next chapter will be epic. It has to be and he knows it. WoW has been largely void of epic themes, tones and vibes for a long time.
I was agreeing with you, and meant that Anduin (or anyone really) sitting around talking about their feeling would be boring to watch.
