Ancient Waygate questline bugged

I unlocked Ancient Waygates from my expedition renown, but the intro quest “Dormant Discovery” never popped up for me. This happened to me on the beta too.

My renown tracker says to talk to the dwarf guy but he doesnt offer anything.

I’m renown 10 at this point and it still hasn’t popped. The quest page on Wowhead also has several other reports of people seeing the same.

I’m having the same issue. I have the renown for the third rank of waygates, but I’ve never been able to unlock the first rank.

the second that I popped level 7 renown with the tuskar the questgiver for the waygates showed up next to me… I wonder if the bug is that every faction needs to be 7 for it to register??

I am Dragonscale 9, Maruuk 10, Tuskarr 7 and Valdrakken 8 and still no waygates. Ditto on beta and I reported it multiple times.

Same I just noticed checking my renown. I haven’t had access to this feature nor have I seen a quest like a saw in a youtube video. (I think I had a quest log full probably at the time. Since I was doing all the quests.

I hit renown 10 this morning and still havent seen this quest to activate the waygates spawn. I dont even see Thaelin at the outpost either.

FYI i just completed this quest line. My waygate is active, from Rubyscale outpost to Cobalt assembly. Screenshot linked… you’ll notice I have a 29min “debuff” until I can use the waygate again. I also just got the quest from Waygate II.

Came back to Rubyscale, got another screenshot. You can see the portal is active (purple swirlies) and the dwarf gives me more waygate quests.

It is glitched for me as well.
hopefully they will fix this by this upcoming Tuesday.
I like exploring and getting all the achievements early on in the game. =}

So I have done this on an alt and got to renown 7 where the waygate is supposed to unlock. I received no quest on my alt. And he has a decent chunk of the quest log empty. I hope yall can fix this in a hotfix or something. So I could try these waygates. Seems like a fast travel system? Sounds neat.

Same problem here. Renown 10 but the opening quest was never offered and I don’t have the item
