100% think this is an amazing move. This is straight best thing I have seen from the company in a while. Although we all want shadowlands I think its an extremely pertinent move in how the company is approaching the expansions. So thank you blizzard, personally I do not mind waiting for a better experience.

This is such BS. I have scheduled work off literally 5 minutes after the GD announcement date. After 16 years this might be what actually makes me finally quit. DONT MAKE DATES YOU CANT MAKE.

Just because it’s an iterative process doesn’t mean that you have to release hot poop the first time. Most of us understand so take your time and deliver something that’s good.

Why are we praising this?! We told them MONTHS before this to push it back. Now everyone who has taken time off for this is getting screwed. They should be telling us less than a month before release that theyre pushing it back. Everyone knows things would be delayed due to covid, yet they still put out a wayyyy to optimistic release date. Sick of this nonsense activision. Turned Blizzard into a heaping dumpster fire of a company. TRASH

I really hope Hazzikostas gets his walking papers over this. This is the ultimate failure of management/leadership. The buck stops with him. He’s been nothing but terrible for this product. I’m glad Activision is stepping up and taking more control. Hopefully in a few months we’ll be rid of him at last.

Regardless I think circumstantially that sucks and I apologize, but I still believe this is a good move. Just for a better game experience. You should not let it deter you but keep relatively optimistic for when it does arrive since this allows blizzard to actually polish and make the game experience better. Although only time will tell.

Good on you Blizzard, make it a great expansion and don’t mind the overflow of salt from people who don’t understand. A company actually delaying a release to fix bugs and polish a game is a step in the right direction. Learn from the past and make games Blizzard, not Acti-Blizzard quality again.

glad that you’re taking the approach that needed to be taken to ensure that the release isn’t a mess with very obviously unfinished “product”.

delay it into 2021 if you really have to… we’re accustomed to waiting a very long time after the X.3 patches.

I fortunately am able to reschedule my time off. Though I do feel for folks who scheduled their time and now can’t. Not to mention, it’s not always easy to ask an employer for time off.

And yes, totally understand needing additional polish… but we were in the middle of the pandemic and working from home ‘when’ they announced the release date. If they didn’t know without a shadow of a doubt they could meet this date they should never have announced in the first place.

Not to mention, I’m certain there are some folks who were un-subbed and now re-subbed ahead of launch. I don’t have this dilemma of caring about a lost month of subscription. But there are some folks who do. There are some barely scraping by, both emotionally and financially, and this video game is their outlet and it keeps them afloat.

I say they give an additional free month of game time to everyone who has purchased a copy of Shadowlands and has a current sub.

A kind gesture for a big miscalculation that has affected many players.

Unfortunately since we lost so many workers and now everyone wants to take a break from this chaos, I can’t But it’s fine, I’ll have a full week of making more alts and I’m still getting a break from work

This was the right move. I’m a bit sad, but hopeful that they’ll take the time to consider player feedback and improve the quality of Shadowlands. I’m excited for the pre-patch! Gonna have fun customizing and doing some pet taming for my Hunter!
