You know you’re not wrong there either. I wanted to get World First Shadowlands Fishing and by golly, I will. SO HELP ME.
Take your time Blizz. This is what we want.
I feel betrayed. I trusted blizzard to set an achievable release date, so when the date was set, I requested time off work. Two weeks to fully enjoy the new expansion without distraction, but now that’s basically ruined. I’ll probably end up with two weeks of enjoying the prepatch instead.
I am sooooooo doooooone with BFA. So done.
I’m a little late to the party here, but I’m glad to see they do care about the quality of their finished product. I admit that I was one of those individuals that exclaimed that Blizzard would never delay the release of Shadowlands. I legitimately felt like that they wouldn’t pull the trigger. I can admit gladly that I was wrong.
I care about the quality and polish of the finished product. I just never thought the corporate heads would allow it. Glad to see someone fought hard internally to make the hard and right decisions.
As much as it sucks that it will be delayed, I admit… it’s the right thing to do.
same no communication is what was bothering me
This is fantastic news! The last thing anyone wants is for Shadowlands to not be as good as possible - this coming from a Classic player. We all want SL to be great, and Blizz I’m sure needs it to be. Take your time, do it right, make it great! I love that Blizz has taken this remarkable old-school style step of delaying for the sake of the game, rather than a hope for quick profits. GG Blizz!!
Dude you’re just trolling. No one really believes any of those points. The game ain’t dead, delays happen all the time, and the world doesn’t owe you anything. If you’re gonna unsub then good riddance.
very happy to hear it. take the time to do it right.
Good call, not upset by this. Polish it till it glitters, don’t rush it. Just look how supportive the comments are, quality is what we all want.
I’ve been working at a grocery store through this entire pandemic and I finally booked my vacation for the launch… I was so excited lol. Oh well.
Thank you Mr. Blizz!
As a beta tester, I’m very happy to hear this. You’re making the right call.
Well said, Wrench.
The big takeaway is that most people would rather have a good product than a rushed product, myself included.
Kudos Blizz.
Its not called Shadowlands anymore its called Warlords of Draenor 2 since now there is months of no new content and the game will still be broken at launch.
Thanks for the update and I think this is the correct call for sure!
P.S. Does can you guys also tell us if feral and survival hunter is gonna get any love even it its just sorry we hear you and will do something for 9.1 patch would be better than silence.
So glad to see the community mostly on the right page here. Overwhelmingly it seems people are happy to see them actually take a second and make sure we get something worth playing.
No idea if it’ll be enough time, but with BFA feeling like it needed more time in the oven, this can only be good. Even a month more polish will give us that much better of an introduction. Plus this may cause people to support more with beta feedback.
I just hope blizzard really listens to what the people say and try to make the game fun above all else.
Delaying the game is more than fine. But for those of us that took time off work for the previously advised release date, it does makes it difficult to re-schedule without a new release date. Please advise the new release date asap.
I mean, I want WoW to just be THAT game you know? The kind of game that makes you forget to shower for the third week straight, the kind of game that you forget that you got a window in your room. The last thing I want is to play the game, feel disappointed and spend more time complaining in the forums rather than playing. I would wait another year if it meant Shadowlands is WoW at it’s finest.
Would much rather play a finished product. GL Blizz!
