WoW about time we know pre patch release date and surprised its not the 6th oh well and hot damn delay oh well if it needs additional polish go for it just happy pre patch not being delayed lol.

Great f-ing job Blizzard you just ruined yourselves now were gonna have another Warlords of Draenor shiet show on our hands with months of no new content wake the F up and release when you say you will.

Damn right!

They gave release date with no change/update on their end. They wait until 27 days prior to release to say it’s delayed. I prepped for this release date by subbing early.

Fair enough, I would just be surprised to hear that anyone who has been playing beta for past expansions regularly would feel this way.

Like I said, this is certainly much better than BFA’s cycle.

The game is expected to have rough edges when it launches, at least for anyone who follows the game long term.

Its still going to even after these delays.
Best to get it in our hands asap, and fix the rest after, IMO.

And again, Khadgar’s server issues provided a problem that’s never even been seen before, on a catastrophic level, so high that content creators came out and talked about it. That’s another issue in addition to all the SL crap that still isn’t resolved. You keep neglecting to talk about that, and it’s a pretty big indicator as to what else might be going wrong, I’d wager.

Imagine putting a game before work and family…yikes.

Rip to all those people that took a time off work on release week, but I’m glad this is done, take your time to make a great and memorable expansion!

I’m thankful for the dedication. I took time off for Shadowlands’ original release date but I’d gladly cash that in for an alternate date if it means a better player experience is to be had.

I think this is a good move personally. It takes a certain kind of courage to tell millions of people that you need to move the release date back so that it meets the quality standards it needs. I’m glad to see that Blizzard still makes this kind of tough call.

Thank you to all the developers and Blizzard folks powering through the game.

To all the naysayers, who are already trying to shoot down the expansion: stop it. You’re not being constructive, you’re being destructive. If you’ve been lucky enough to play the beta, you’ll see that there are plenty of improvements from when it first came out until now – that’s called progress.

Don’t be that guy that goes into the raid and complains about everyone and everything after 1 wipe. Stick with it, help it grow, and it will be successful.

RIP to all the losers who took time off work

That’s all I wanted. A little bit of communication, I can’t be mad for the delay of the expansion, I want this game to be as good as possible, the whole stay in the dark thing however was really upsetting.

Thank you.

Halo infinite release was also pushed back.

its 2020 everyone this year has hardly been a highlight of productivity and progress, expecting everything to be like every other year is insane. To these people getting so up in arms, have they not been paying attention for the past 8 or so months? Millions and millions of people worldwide have LOST work altogether and yet they are going crazy when another big video game developer announces they just cant do it and need a bit more time.

I think just about everyone is happy about the postponement. Of course we want to play Shadowlands ASAP we understand we would rather wait for a great game than play an unfinished game early. Having said that while we will be on the pre-patch for a considerable time could we get maybe a season to go along with it. That way we can do M+ and PvP rated content while we wait. I would hope this would not be too much an endeavor and would give the community the opportunity to help with class changes in a live environment and provide more feedback for tuning in the upcoming expansion.

Okay ill bite, why do you think they didn’t detect that earlier and secondly; why is me the end users problem?

Things like this happen when you fire your QA team. Is it my problem BLizzard didn’t hire enough QA devs too? Should I be foaming at the mouth to forgive them for being understaffed with everyone lining up to work for a nickle right now? Give your head a shake proud mary keep on burning.

putting a game before work and family? I made the plan to enjoy the game on my time off, what I do with it doesn’t matter.

Agreed!:heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart:

Okay what pisses me off is, my guild just stopped raiding because we thought that we wouldn’t have enough time to down nzoth given the launch of SL was supposed to be the 27th of October, and many of my guild it’s went on break/vacation waiting for SL. IT TOTALLY SCREWED MY GUILD OVER

Yeah. I am not going to bash on the decision, because despite my wasted vacation I think it is the right decision. However, more time does not equal to better outcome automatically, and how it turns out really depends on what they will be using the time to do.

The maximum they can delay now is until mid December. It’s ample amount of time to address most bugs, but very little time if they are still trying to get covenant abilities balanced.
