So how about those of us who resubbed and booked vacation time for when you announced this? Feels pretty awful that during this messed up year where I can’t travel or do anything that I wasted a full week of vacation time to do something normal I enjoy. Please don’t announce release dates if you can’t meet them.
Sucks to be you, I guess. Delays happen.
I’m assuming it’s at least those things. They’ve been scrambling to get those things updated in the last iterations.
Good to see they are delaying it to make it more polished. It is the right decision.
This is a good thing. Pull the ripcord.
Shadowlands is too late to save. It’s basically BFA 2.0. It was too early in development to fulfill any promises of changes. At this point just wait for TBC classic and maybe the next expansion they’ll be forced to give us what we want after Shadowlands flops.
Give more time for BFA achievements then. Dont wanna be locked in pre-patch state when you cannot do BfA achievements please
Because your response to this was selfish and somewhat childish.
You said you personally think the game is fine, and that you are disappointed because you wanted it and you are concerned about your guild.
But you’re not factoring in that hundreds of thousands of people play this game and to be disappointed that the team wants to take longer to work on it because of your own desires and the health of your guild seems absurd to me.
That’s why I said that.
I’m not telling you to change your outlook, I’m just pointing that out.
Nice choice, Shadowlands will be awesome!
Yea, bummer people will not have an unfinished expansion dumped on them… Get a grip on the big picture.
Blizzard,
You owe all players free time or a free level boost to level 60. This is completely unacceptable. People plan their lives and to be responsible with work and home take off to level during launch and its changes at the last moment. There is nothing that you cannot roll into an immediate patch but you want to impact lives with your poor planning.
You provided a date and should meet it. It’s not acceptable and you’re still going ahead with a pre-patch squash Oct 13 with no release date. None of us want to be in pre-patch for a month or longer. You have no launch date and its just wrong that you gave one and changed it. You cannot say its because of COVID unlike theaters and movies because we’ve been paying full price since we got into COVID.
This is complete mismanagement and I wonder why you will most likely lose players to the former CEO’s game releases with stuff like this. Raiding has for the most part stopped and now this. YOU OWE US GAME TIME OR A BOOST GIVEN THIS UNACCEPTABLE LAST MINUTE CHANGE.
I HOPE OTHERS ARE AS OUTRAGED AS I AM.

All good, but why send prepach at oct13 if will takes more that 1month to have the expansion?,… well i just hope for this thing they are pullin foward not became something like azerite trait, that was made of in “last minute”.
I could be wrong but didn’t they come out and say there is no Ripcord?
I support this decision. I’d rather play a polished Shadowlands than feel cheated for playing a broken game.
I did, however, resubscribe recently in anticipation of the new expansion. I don’t suppose I could get a refund for that, if there’s not going to be a new expansion for awhile? If not, not the end of the world. I still love your game and look forward to playing Polished Shadowlands.
Hoo, relaxxx. You’re gonna be fine. I don’t understand how someone saying you come off as entitled is a means for so much keyboard fury and warrior-ing. Ya gonna be fine, booboo. It’s gonna be all good.
Does it physically hurt to be as self centered as you are? Asking for science.
Thank you for taking the time to do the right thing by WoW. I understand it is a tough call to make in a publicly traded company expecting revenue predictability, but for many of us players, it is simply the right thing to do to make the expansion launch first impression the best it can be.
I took time off of work for this launch - you’ve completely invalidated my plans and my families plans. Now I have to cancel my vacation and hope that i can ask for the time off with very short notice. Talk about frustrating. This decision needed to be made a long time ago, not less than one month before launch.
From the bottom of my heart: thank you, finally a return to the old Blizzard style of releasing games when they pass their extremely high internal standards, irrespective of any time table. Thank you for your courage in standing up to Bobby and Activision.
