Wow, was not expecting that. Take all the time you guys need! Work a healthy 40 hours / week and your fans will be here when it’s ready. Good move Blizz
If you need to remove the legendaries go ahead, Blizz.
Remove BOAT first even!
Very happy that more polish goes into the expac, very disappointed in the fact it took you guys this long to admit it and work towards it. If you hadn’t waited this much, you could have given us the pre-patch a few weeks earlier, and a lot of people would be less unhappy now. Myself included. Because we’d have had some new things to play around with while waiting.
PS: Please don’t make Raid/Dungeon loot covenant exclusive, (be venthyr, get venthyr gear only, ect) unless you want to take your motto of “meaningful choice” away for this expac. People will pick covenants only for their transmogs otherwise, and I doubt that is what you guys wanted.
This was the right choice. I’d rather have a polished release later than one put out to hit a specific date regardless of quality.
Well, one of two scenarios. My company lets me re-schedule my PTO, or I uninstall and refund permanently.
The impatient part of my is upset but deep inside I know this is a good change
Why would you oppose people who paid for game time based on false information get their money back then?
Stop treating this company like it’s not mega conglomerate worth several billions.
Assuming it’s a great expansion which is highly doubtful. Have you played the beta? I have. It’s a hot mess.
I’m sort of relieved. Sort of dissapointed. Dang. If only they didn’t remove all the stuff with the prepatch. If only they could enable that stuff to be still obtainable during prepatch.
Don’t get why they published a release date if there were obviously some internal concern about meeting the deadline.
Kind of sucks having taken time off for the launch
Thank you for your hard work!! Polish away and keep up the good work.
Thank you for making the right call Blizzard.
Please don’t let this be a difficult decision. If the dev’s need more time , give it to them. Let them make it a great expansion for all.
I am retracting the time off I got for it and happy about it
Thanks again!
Yes Blizzard, yesssss!!!
BFA I worked the first week or two as well. We all know how bad the first week or two is anyway. You spend half your time at your computer waiting to log back in, and this time every single person is going threw the same starting zone.
That is going to be crash city.
A lot of people do staycations, a lot of people take off to play new games coming out.
It’s not even just wow, new launches generally always get people taking time off, just because you think it’s weird doesn’t mean it’s wrong, I find it weird people take vacations to travel some place that is often less relaxing then just staying home.
An official update on the physical product, the CEs, needs to be made.
Technically speaking, you can just proceed with the shipment dates. It’s not like we can log in to the servers anyway, why delay THAT??
We need an official response.
You read the terms of the game time. You paid for game time. You got game time. I’m sure you can find a compelling argument for refund of the expansion, but the rest is on you.
I can’t emphasize this enough - the entire world is melting down, especially the USA, especially California, and a delay on a video game is not really the end of the world nor is it surprising in the slightest.
I mean… I explicitly remember you defending BFA to the teeth, thinking everything was great and that it was one of the best WoW experiences ever.
So when you say something like
It’s kind of obvious to me that you aren’t thinking forward about this.
Believe me, I have stock in the game too. Took off time, made plans with friends, was happy to see BFA going away, but I totally respect this decision.
If a team comes together and decides they need to delay a product, it’s because they aren’t satisfied with it and they want to do better.
This is going to be blunt, but grow up. It’s not about you, or your guild, or your disappointment. If they believe it’s not ready, then it’s not ready. Accept it. Move on.
That’s what I’m doing.
I need to cancel my vacation.
‘Your physical product is coming later. We also sent you a free dictionary with ‘delay’ and ‘release’ highlighted, so you can understand what delayed release means.’
