i’m honestly looking forward to the prepatch anyway
Covenant abilities + soulbind choice + condiut choice + class/spec choice + legendary choice = Too many knobs to hope for balance.
You can’t balance a blink against a teleport. You can’t balance a spell a specific spec/class gets from one covenant VS another different spec/class from a different covenant.
I’m sorry guys cause Blizzard, you can look at how much money I’ve given you guys in the past 16 years and know I love you… but it’s time to pull the plug and make covenants cosmetic only.
Ditch the borrowed power system. Roll us back to WoD with power gains and with PvP power/ilvl.
With the delay, any chance of extending the 100% rep buff for another month to give us something to do?
this is hilarious, I literally tweeted out - I thought you guys were going to be better @ communicating. SL comes out in <month and there is no communication about the pre-patch. The community has been asking/inquiring and the only piece of communication we’ve received was “Soon™ it’ll be ready when it’s ready” an hour before they announced this.
I took days off to play on release. I know it’s the right call, but I’m thoroughly, completely disappointed. I will no longer trust any date or announcement made by Blizzard for the foreseeable future.
Seems like the only people mad about the delay are the people who already scheduled vacation time during release.
I guess the question is, why can’t you reschedule?
Not to be rude but H Nyalotha has been out for 254 days. Surely anyone serious about AoTC would have gotten it by now
Just 3 months late and more time? I wonder what the financial statement would look with these pushback on release. No wonder blizzard has no control now, cant manage their own projects and timelines. With ps5/xbox capitalizaing over your late release.
Thank you for giving us a prepatch date.
I do appreciate that you guys are taking the time to make sure it is a solid launch, I just wish you could have announced the delay sooner.
This is REALLY relieving to hear. I hope all of the employees can sigh with relief knowing they have plenty more room to breathe.
I am kind of surprised they made this decision. I thought for sure they wouldn’t.
I have to give them credit, it probably isn’t an easy decision to delay SL with some of the backlash they might get. This could only be positive for the game and shows that they are wanting to put out a good expansion.
Same here, and I am a shift worker so I have to book my leave 2.5 months in advance - no way I can take leave again until Jan now
About time, they said something about all these mounting failures, coming after the hot garbage that was BFA, after 15 years, you’d expect a game company to have some kind of class or integrity about making a game.
I’ve had this happen twice this year. Used my vacation at the original 2 release dates for Cyberpunk 2077, each time it was pushed back…
You can take to the end of the year for all I care. The more time, the best the expansion will be!!! Awesome News!!! Will done Blizzard!!
I’ve been there before for other bigger things, like travel and lodging that is all contingent on one another that not only wasted the book time, but also contingent deposits.
It could be worse, and this isn’t that big a deal. I’m sorry you are stuck with this, but it’s just part of how it goes.
Thank you.
Why would you release prepatch to end the season, raid tier, M+ push tier, arenas, etc…when you delay the expansion? The prepatch is arguably the most boring and death time in WoW and you’re just extending it even longer? If you’re going to delay expansion launch, then delay prepatch as well.
Can I at least have beta so I dont go absolutely insane with boredom lmfao UGHHH
Sounds like the right call. Better to release the expansion in a finished state.
That said - Blizz you’re incompetent for misjudging your timeline. You have so little understanding of your own game that you waited until ~3 weeks out to delay it.
